Internacional Reject €19M Bid For Damiao

Hello.

It’s difficult. It’s very tough. I said to the man who’d been sleeping rough… word in from various places in the Italian press that a sizable bid of some €19m for Leandro Dimebar has been rebuffed.

The suggestion which makes perfect sense is that Internacional are looking for some decent performances in off season friendlies will only stand to increase the players market worth which they believe to be closer to €25m.

So fair do’s for Levy & Co. getting in early, but this tactic is bound to be employed by the bulk of selling clubs this summer and it will be to our team’s credit if they can get any deals done …prior to the usual eleventh hour debacle.

This afternoon, I bore witness to a revolution. Harlequins (founded 1870) are the Spurs of rugby: long on Cup tradition, very short on League Titles…

Known for playing the game beautifully, winning in style, but also for being fancy dans capable of being bullied. They were up against Leicester, the juggernaut of English rugby for the last 20 years, in this season’s “Grand Final”.

(Harlequins had led the league from start to finish, but they still had to play a semi and a final to “win” the league – stupid new rules).

Quins took it to Leicester from the off in swashbuckling style, going toe to toe with them in every position on the pitch… they survived a late onslaught from Leicester and came away with a fully-deserved 30-23 win… and their first League title in the professional era…

If I was HR, I’d take some lessons from Connor O’Shea and the Quins squad – I’d even take the squad down to meet the new English champions: just to hear how they’ve been transformed from perennial “nearly men” to undisputed champions…

(and it wasn’t by spending bucket-loads on overseas players, Shitteh-style, btw – homegrown talent, brought up through the ranks forms the spine of the team…)

Great game,I thought they were going to throw away the 17 point lead in the last quarter hour, very much like Tottenham 8O

Its obvious that their manager wasn’t even thought of for England.
Plus he probably had no interest either.
He didnt keep two strikers (hookers?) on the bench either.

Did Parker play…..mind you when you think about it Gomes is a bit of a Harlequin

Let’s give Kane and caulker a go, both performed really well at mill wall and Swansea respectively, noddles on should be back, a couple more, looks like the Dutch guy is coming and be ruthless , get rid of Lesley, love him by the way but wasn’t performing in his last few games, galls Nielsen, cordlike, gds, Bentley, Lennon how many more mins before another injury Saha, you know the usual suspects, bench warmers and get the deals done yesterday, unlike last season and the season before etc
