Internacional Reject €19M Bid For Damiao

Hello.

It’s difficult. It’s very tough. I said to the man who’d been sleeping rough… word in from various places in the Italian press that a sizable bid of some €19m for Leandro Dimebar has been rebuffed.

The suggestion which makes perfect sense is that Internacional are looking for some decent performances in off season friendlies will only stand to increase the players market worth which they believe to be closer to €25m.

So fair do’s for Levy & Co. getting in early, but this tactic is bound to be employed by the bulk of selling clubs this summer and it will be to our team’s credit if they can get any deals done …prior to the usual eleventh hour debacle.

    Moriarty my dear boy. :shocked2:

I see that the old boy Cole is back from his period of eating escargots avec un grand nombre de spondulix. Wonder if Redknobb’s salivating at another chance of grave robbing?

  • Yeah, I must admit it does wear a bit thin in the end. The only time it’s worked in our favour, it seems to me, was when our dithering over Arshavin, thankfully led to Arsenal buying him.

Sometimes, like on the field, we need to be more decisive.

…and we got the Pav on the rebound instead. Arse shaving had one decent season. Pav had…err, he scored a couple of goals in a cup run one year…I think :ermm:

      Inspirational

I’m about ready to flip out..just sign vertonghen and this Leandro kid then watch redknapp work his magic…here’s a thought Harry always does well first half of the season, so keep him till Xmas , then sack him for putting his hand in the Christmas tin, then here’s the genius part, employ moyes who is always sensational after Xmas…and that bitches is why I am where I am today and you guys spend your time on here like dweebs..coys

Personally think their is some legs in the Diarra plus cash story. Whilst I would obviously rather he fooks off to Spain than Manc or West London, I can’t see why we would need Diarra now, given that we have Sandro and Parker. But that probably doesn’t matter to Arry as it’s another of his long term favourites.

Although he is an over-rated and quite old player, Kaka as a part swap for Modric. I can see it happening.

    • I think it all rests on Modric. I would like to think that these bids are in some ways red herrings… no maybe they are Navy Lemmings where Daniel takes us over the cliff ….maybe these bids are merely there to take the 15 or so clubs off the scent while Levy schemes his way in the strategy we have come to love, that is,buy low and loan high.
But maybe he knows something that the others dont know and while they have been plotting the tournaments they are in for next year,Daniel has been watching the status of Europe. Daniel knows that there will be a ton of Greek players available at Sainsbury prices and the collapse of Real Madrid and Barcelona cant be far behind (Benzema is in the third aisle).
Daniel is not stupid. He is building while Rome burns and you will see the players he is bidding for now will be a Daimio a dozen.

Fak Joe Cole and is merry old sole Fak Rio ferdinand ..do levy and redknapp really think we will put up with a load worn out meat.
Our tranfer dealins arent about luck..they are about a complete lack of understanding of a players worth to to our club. In addition levy expects top dollar for our cast offs, clown.
The idea that the turd Redknapp is going to run our team with a load of washed up West ham old boys wii be to much for me to bear.
Maybe Levy thinks we are idiots as well.

Steady on there old bean, so far all we’ve heard is that Levy is putting in bids for Vertonghen, Damiao and Remy. Whilst I doubt Redknapp is even looking for these three in his Panini sticker album, it does show some intent on Levy’s part to do the kind of business we actually need. It’s early days. I’m pretty sure Vertonghen is our player. Damiao has been going on for 2 years, with Internacional holding out for a better offer from another club which never seems to materialize so perhaps on that basis he isn’t actually worth the 22m?
