Good morning pop pickers.

And the hits just keep on coming. The Loic Remy piece of yesterday appears to have legs as a French journo, Matt Spiro who writes for Ligue.1.com has revealed that…

Marseille have told Loic Remy to cancel his planned visit to Spurs’ training ground this week. They want to agree fee with #THFC first

This positively reaffirms the idea that we are ‘properly’ in for the player, but it also rather comically might indicate that they’ve just found out who our chairman is and want to get all the money side of things nailed before their boy starts choosing this coat peg.

Elsewhere, if you haven’t seen it then the Blackburn boss is the unwitting star of a covertly shot mobile phone video that is said to have been shot in a bar in Hong Kong while Rovers were doing their preseason. The clip is here. The interesting bit is where he’s asked about Sam Allardyche. He swiftly repsonds, “Because he’s a f*cking crook.”

I think Levy will wait until Sat to confirm which competition we’ll be playing before spening any cash. If we do then he will snap up 2 or 3 players before the Euros begin and then sell some fringe players to recoup some money

Wow I hope that is true. There doesn’t seem to be too much strategy in football management

Im not sure if Defoe will leave. It seems unlikely that we can afford to keep Adebeyor and it is going to be difficult to to find a replacement for him.

In keeping with recent transfer window dealings I would not bet against us getting Yakubu and Kevin Davies.

We really do need to get key deals done asap then we can also get rid of the usual surplus. We need this window to be be a real postive statement of intent, so realistically….

In … Vertonghen, Moses, Vorm, Siggurdson or Hoillet, Remy and Adebayor (I expect we will do something but assume only if he has no other offers which are better wages wise … PSG or a Russian club possibly but who else can realistically afford him ? )

    Back In… Caulker, Naughton

    Fit again… Hudd, Daws

Sell… Bassong, Jenas, Bentley, Gio, Corlucka, Krankie (reluctantly), Gomes, Pienaar (if Everton can make it a cash deal or a deal with Baines or Rodwell),

Let Go…. Nelsen, Saha, and I find it hard to say this but Ledley (possibly pay as you play deal and coaching role only).

Loan out… Rose, Townsend, Kane, Carroll, Smith.

All sounds easy but knowing Spurs I doubt it will be straight forward.

Agree with you on most of your innies,Vorm is a class GK and Siggurdson will be a household name, but I’d let Ade go unless we can keep in on a loan deal.Vertonghen is a must have,Iv’e never seen Remy play and Iv’e read a lot of mixed reports on him.Moses would be a great one to bag too.
