Aston Villa’s form has been rotten for some time. A quagmire of losses and draws that have had their support almost too despondent to even rustle up a McLeish out campaign of much conviction. They odds are they won’t get relegated, but this by default. Thankfully for villans, there is some 24ct. rubbish beneath them.
I’ve ruminated and cogitated over what to do about Danny Rose. My decision was to drop him and draft in Half Nelsen. I don’t rate either but based upon Danny’s last two showings Nelsen edges it by a clean 5 IQ points.
My guess is Arry will look at the threat of Agbonlasnore, Insomnia plus The Wardrobe On Wheels that is Heskey and he’ll risk running Rose out again.
The wisdom of us loaning out players either being contractually unable or disinterested in retrieving them is likely to cost us. Kyle Walker is taking an injection so that he might play with a broken toe. Classy.

id rather not have a left back than have Nelson. Any pace around him will see free kicks given away. The thought of Nelson chasing Albrighton into the box is terrifying.
Whats been your guys problem with rose? he’s looked solid last two games, and the only mistake I can remember was against bolton which he then recovered from with a great tackle. He had the run of the left against blackburn, and his crossing is no worse than walkers. I’m happy to be proved wrong though if someone can provide tangible evidence that he’s been a weak link, but at the moment for me I’d play him whenever baes injured with no worries
Seems people just need someone to kick. Rose is a very soft target indeed, the big bullys. I agree, he has done OK the past couple of games, the backlash is hysterical and way, way over the top.
As I write that I know he’ll probably produce a massive gaffe leading to a goal for Villa today…
Of course it would be nice if our boy Bale shouldered some of the workload on the left and gave young Rose a bit of help, going forwards and defensively. But we know he has very important work to do elsewhere, but even still people should be mindful of the fact that Rose is having to cover and occupy an entire flank of the pitch all on his own.
It hasn’t escaped me that all of a sudden it’s we and us.
Let’s just hope we play with the same verve,vigour and swagger as the other night and we might just be ok. We need 3rd cos I don’t wanna be watching chels in the cl final sweating like its my team playing in it.
