Could be totally wrong but I believe bacon boys is a reference to Levy and Darren Earles and the scribes would obviously be the press, so putting 2 and 2 together, the ITK merchant seems to be suggesting it is a done deal for Vertonghan.
It has been suggested we are after another Ajax player called Eriksen but I know nothing about him.
Just googled Eriksen and he is Danish which may explain the bacon reference but Vertonghan is Belgian so not really sure we are any further forward. Sorry!
Eriksen is an attacking midfielder of great ability. I’m not sure if he would be a replacement for ratface but he is creative very mobile good dribbler and scores goals.
