So Long And Thanks For All The Fish

Good morning.

Luka Modric is on his way to Manchester United. No he is. For less money than the failed Chelsea bid last year. No he is. The £25M doesn’t include add-ons of another £5M. He’s going to be paid £125,000 pwk. No he is.

The Sun article just doesn’t make any sense at all. Modric has what, five years to run on his contract with us and didn’t the chairman kick into touch the ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ fantasy?

There is a part of me that wants to segue seamlessly into a Arry bashing para or two. How it’s all his fault, how failing to secure Champions League has left us exposed to these crappy poaching expeditions for the rest of the summer …but I really can’t be bothered.

It’s funny/depressing how papers now seem to report on stories from other papers as if thats newsworthy stuff!
Think this originally came from a Daily Star story, and sadly it probably won’t be disappearing any time soon – more likely it’ll be regurgitated ad infinitum until he goes or the transfer window closes…

Spot on mate. Like the BBC/Sky reporters who ‘interview’ another BBC/Sky reporter colleague who has no further insight into the event being reported on. Effing wasters!

  • This is as per usual Taggart trying to disrupt one of our players using his favourite medium the sir alex ferguSUN newspaper. Custis is a red through and through and maybe somebodys voicemail got a good old intercepting to grasp some of the info for this drivel, but it wont be happening….
FACT— Levy was furious with Berbagate in 2008 and said that he would never sell another player to manure whilst he was in charge because of the way they conducted it!

FACT— We all know that DL is a very shrewd Chairman, and there is no way he would allow the club to take a 10-15m hit on what they were refusing to accept for Modders a year ago!

FACT—Yesterday’s sale of Krancjar marked the start of some fringe players being moved on, with no doubt others like Jenas, Bentley, Corluka, and Dos Santos to follow. This is how the club intends to alleviate any financial shortfalls in the summer, not by selling our top stars! If you sell players like Modric to clubs like manure, then you may as well forget it!

FACT— manue can no longer swim in the financial waters that a player like Modric would cost due to their massive debt burden, look at their purchases since 2010. a very telling story, even wasting millions on complete flops like Bebe, and some other Croatian, whose name I cannot even recall.

If a European club came in and offered the right money for a player like Modric, I would not be averse to selling him, but to manure, I am 100% confident that it will deffo not happen, whatever The Fergie Voice prints in their typical unsettling tactics!

    Darlings,
Pure rubbish by the tainted press.
That little devil Levy must act to
counter a summer of gloom which lies
    a head.
Why can’t we ever be a club with a good feeling?

    Keep it up
    Cecil

If it is in the sun it is not true, seriously Levy might not be perfect but he ain’t stupid.
