The Sun article just doesn’t make any sense at all. Modric has what, five years to run on his contract with us and didn’t the chairman kick into touch the ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ fantasy?
There is a part of me that wants to segue seamlessly into a Arry bashing para or two. How it’s all his fault, how failing to secure Champions League has left us exposed to these crappy poaching expeditions for the rest of the summer …but I really can’t be bothered.

Levy needs to be busy on getting rid of Jenas, Bently, Bassong, Gio, Pinaar, Corluka and bringing in adequate suqad members…..
It is too cheap but he does have limitations on goal scoring and stature/strength so providing the money is used to bring in a fresh face who is a little more powerful I’d say let him go. He is not going to have his heart in it anyway.
One of the things I made a point of doing towards the end of last season was look at Modric whenever we scored a goal. He was as jubilant as anyone which suggests to me that his heart was in it then and I see no reason to assume it won’t be in it next year.

I have to admit that Manure have replaced even my old hate:Liverpool (so many thrashings) while Chelsea have topped my london hate list ever since money turne them into more obnoxious parvenus. While City keep their hands off our players and Arsenal do the same I find it hard to hate them as much although the latter’s supporters tend to make me choke (not because of THAT either).
I just hope that rednose has his medical retirment forced upon him very soon and MU then hit the skids. Face it, ferguson could make a woman’s team win the PL as he is a great mnaager even if as a man he is a ******* ****

That price would surely mean a player thrown in. I’m resigned to losing him this summer and Man u are the probable option, unless City or the Spanish try to gazump them. Chelsea are surely out of it now. Marin for £7m was a big miss :[ However we do seem to be looking for a marquee signing or two so there’s a slim chance he could stay. He knows we’re very close to the top teams and have good leadership :-p
