I’ve never been too bothered by what people say, it’s what they do that really matters. It’s pretty simple for me; would I prefer next season to be organised by someone who has proven twice that he can finish us in a top 4 place, or start again with someone who hasn’t? Short of the ‘someone who hasn’t’ being maureeno or pepe gwahdeeola, it doesn’t take much thinking about. Arry may be a sometimes infuriating character but the bland mid table exploits of the many before him still loom large in my memory, and picking a new manager is not an exact science, it’s somewhat of a lottery. Arry ballsed it up a bit and we still finished 4th; I want to see what he can do with a stronger, slightly more experienced squad and, hopefully, a few lessons learned.
