Does Arry Redschnapps Need Psychiatric Help?

Good evening.

I’m serious. Looking around the Net since his inexplicable ‘interview’ on Sky late this afternoon and I now want to voice concern over his mental state.

When he was managing us at full steam, 8 points from 2 games and all that jazz well, yes he did wheel out plenty of ‘triffics’ and ‘for sures’ but it was little more than anyone with a bit of character having perfectly normal idiosyncrasies.

I’m not for a moment suggesting a man frequently using the same phrases and a similar style of speaking is an indication of mental fragility. But based upon this afternoon, some people must be asking questions.

‘Has he told Sandra he got the bullet?’ ‘Does he realise that this stuff is being shared with lots of people who haven’t been sectioned under the Mental Health Act?’

I get that people who aren’t in a job in football tend to float about. That’s quite normal. You’ll get Alan Curbishly pop up as a pundit on the telly. Maybe hear Phil Brown’s silky tones on the radiogramme. You may well have had Ian Dowie knock on your door of an afternoon, offering to tarmac your drive.

But since the England fiasco Arry has emerged as a real life Walter Mitty. The FA spent 80% of their press conference unveiling of Hodgson underlining endlessly that he was the only person they considered, contacted and interviewed.

Arry appeared blissfully unaware of the fact that no news primarily means, there is no news. If the phone doesn’t ring, this is not necessarily an indicator that the National Lottery people are still arduously trying to calculate the precise enormity of your win. The phone not ringing is an indication that all that you can be truly certain of is that it hasn’t rung.

And as the dark days of Arry losing his grip on his responsibilities (you know, day to day coaching of the team, that sort of thing) began to grip THFC by the jugular it now seems suspiciously like that he was simultaneously losing his hold on reality.

I said to the chairman “can you get me Carlos Tevez?”

The funny thing was my mobile had like an ansaphone thing on it and they never told me. It was chock-a-block, apparently.

We looked at Suarez. He was a player who we  probably should have taken, looking back on it. We just weren’t sure.

I wanted to back in oranges at half time, you can’t do it these days, health and safety I suppose.

I actually tried to sign him for Tottenham before he went to Manchester City.

We was close to signing Christiano Ronaldo last year but Bondy only left his pen back at the hotel.

And the terrifying thing is that I only made 50% of the quotes up.

So on a serious note, when someone has reached a point where they predisposed to doing or saying insane things, almost as a default setting, then it is down to the rest of us to try and do the the right thing.

You do not offer Paul Gascoigne a drink.  Sky and you too talkSPORT please, think about what you’re doing and don’t …offer Arry a microphone.

  • He is so delusional,He tries to re write history.I for one am glad his gone.He cost us the 3rd spot and. will never will forgive him for that.Redknap has always been a liar.He had one of the best jobs in the prem.and he through it away because of his greed.

  • Tim Demorais says:

Redcrap threw away 3rd to the arse. Thats almost as bad as being relegated.I’m not a fan of AVB but hes a step up on big mouth.

  • Harry's third cousin twice removed says:

Its a shame that the more he opens his mouth the more clear it becomes why he got sacked.
No premier club will touch him, knowing he will spend £50m at least.
He did not solely get us the position we have being in, it has being a great squad better thAn arse.
Bad management meant some great players were left to rot and when called upon could not offer anything as they did not feel part of squad.
A great players manager my arse, look at pav, gio, Bentley .pienaar for example.
Trevor brooking is regarding as a decent fellow so if he detests HR then that is god enough for me.
I would rather have terry Connor from wolves than the tax cheat.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

      A considered post. Thank you.

    • Devonshirespur says:

      What utter pish!

Again another fool who thinks everything great just happened because of the squad and it was only Harry who fucked it up.

Consider the logic…If Harry had nothing to do with the great form how can he be blamed for the bad form.

It might interest you to know that HR’s net spend was less than £10m in 4 years. About £2.25m a season and in the last 18 months or so his net spend was about -£30m.

Total lack of balance in your ill-informed moronic cretinous bullshit.

Overall I reserve judgement on whether sacking HR was a good thing until I see who comes in. I see the logic. I see Harry’s flaws and I see that this is a watershed moment for the club.

HR referred to some Spurs fans as Idiots and judging by the shite written on here by HH’s disciples, it’s probably one of his more accurate statements!

i dont care what his net spend was looked at in the abstract just as i dont care that we finsihed 4th, which is ok if looked at in the abstract.
i care that he wasted 15 mill on keane after we did the business of getting 20 mill for an 8 mill player
i care greatly that he subjected me to three years of peter crouch
i care that he spent a fortune of defoe (worth every penny) and then never played him. i care that had he not been bitter about bentley tipping water on him we wd have got decent moeny for him ages ago as he wd have played him and it wd have been an easy sell (he said right after that that bentleys days were numbereed). i care that we lost millions on bent because the moron could not resist a cheap laugh in front of camera about his bloody wife scoring goals, he is a buffoon
i care that if he had one honest bone and decent bone in his body we wd have finsihed 3 and i care that if he were a caoch half as good as he thinks he is we wd have finsihed second and we wd have qualified for the cl the year before instead of coming 5th after we dropped a huge number of points against the bottom four teams. he will keep trying to re-write history because he has started to believe the crap written about him by his mates, the same journo fools who think this england team is a good one and are ready to dump on hodgson because the fa had the affornt to ignore those useless journos..

      • cyril says:

sorry for the rant, i am just spitting mad whenever i think about the deceipt he practices and the self-serving nature of eerything he does and says. he is just not very bright and yet he thinks he is.

        • Devonshirespur says:

Do you care that (despite all these apparently significant failings) that we: avoided relegation we ease, then qualified for the CL (Thanx Crouch) that we gained our highest finish & point tally in +20 years, that we beat Arsenal at their place and LFC at Anfield for the first time in years, that we beat AC Milan in Milan (thanx Crouchie).

Were you there that night vs Inter…I will never forget that.

there are many many other examples.

They way people go on on here you’d think that Harry took us down & bankrupted us, while doing our missus on the side.

          Balance is all I quest

        • BazSpur says:

          Spot on fella.

      • nickster says:

        well said

  • danny says:

Ha Ha what did you expect. Sacked for no good reason he’s bound to voice his opinion. It’s his right. He earned it. You just do it.

  • Mr Pamplemouse says:

Throwing away 3rd is no where near being as bad as relegated. I’m not a massive fan of Redknapp, he is a born liar but thats by the by. What we have to realize is that we finished fourth. If AVB couldnt do it with Chelsea then why would he be able to do it with us?

Its not about who is a likeable or media savy manager its who can get results.

    • seattlespursguy says:

Keep in mind AVBs brief for the racists was pretty difficult, consisting of overhauling the squad, bringing along youth, playing more eye-pleasing football and easing out the older player BUT not have any growing pains, dips in form, loss of CL places, etc. “Difficult” became “Impossible” when when Terry and his band of turds quit playing and Roman lost his nerve and backed Terry.

I don’t know what the future holds for him at Spurs, but I’m willing to give the guy a chance.
