He’s Actually Retarded

Good evening viewers.

It’s that man again. So what fit of vitriol has the slack jawed imbecile induced now, I hear you ask? Well, I’m going to be relatively brief and I sincerely pray that Levy & Co. adopt a similar strategy when dealing with this two bob schmuck.

I was insistent that Redschnapps perjured himself by telling the Court that the was a fantastic football manager, but it now emerges he’s also guilty of failing to disclose all about his academic limitations. “I write like a two-year-old and I can’t spell,” was  the line you’ll recall.

He ought to have admitted that he doesn’t have an altogether wonderful grasp of understanding, ‘how numbers work’ either.

“I think it’s overrated what people say about Champions League football and whatever”

Let me be the first perhaps to explain to Arry why this is conclusion of a complete  and utter retard and not someone we ought to have anywhere near our football club.

Perhaps there are those reading to understand the complete ins and outs of THFC. I do not profess to be an expert. But, what I do get every year is a rather nice email that’s terribly easy to read from the good and wise people at Deloitte. In fact the most recent arrived I think last Friday.

The beauty of this information is that it is presented in manner …well as if they knew that a twit like me – a financial layperson if you will – would need to be able to understand it.

I will attach some hyperlinks to documents that give you the guts, but in a very broad brush stroke, the difference participation in the Champions League tournament makes to a football club’s books is millions.

In 2008/09 our total revenues were £132.7m.

In 2009/10 our total revenues were £146.3m

In 2010/11 our total revenues were £181m.

Deloitte believe that the most recent UEFA distribution monies were worth £28.1m. But this isn’t the whole story, there is a cumulative thing that tales place here. You sell more regular match-day seats, you shift more merchandise as a result of the feel good factor. People get happy at many different tills as direct result.

You want to debate or perhaps don’t understand any of this, Arry? Well last week, the club’s online shop was outing Champions League mugs at a nicker a piece that were previously retailing a £5.99 each. Financial repercussions made easy. Even for thick chancers like you, Arry.

Here’s the latest Deloitte info graphic, I’d embed it but the blog is too small so I link to it here

In a nutshell, whatever allegations may have been hurled at him, this is staggering quote from his own lips is surely the last nail. We’ve had the ‘they’re punching above their weight’ garbage. Which was greeted by anyone witha shred of self respect with complete contempt.

He didn’t give a flying flip flop about Tottenham or his wretched contract when he thought the Engerlund job was nailed on. And now we get this is embarrassing piffle.

Can you imagine any football chairman in the world reading, “I think it’s overrated what people say about Champions League football and whatever”  without laughing? Nobody in their right mind…

Please, let’s get this pilchard out and make next season one to remember for all the right reasons. Jesus wept.

All this HR business is doing my brain in.
Still pissed about loosing 3rd spot to the Arses.
Its not only about the Champions league, its having to see that fu(king smirk on the faces of the (unts up the road. I had forgoten what it was like to see the fear on the Arses face that were hiding from us Spurs fans, only to re- emerge with their ugly smug faces taking the piss. So Even if we did make the champions league, the Arses would still be taking the piss. That alone is unforgiveable, so Levy do the right thing and FFS SORT IT.

  • DtheYid says:

The volume of verbal diarrhea out of the cads mouth is amazing. Today he said, ‘It’s not a case of me looking for security. What it’s about is players knowing you’ve only got a year left on your contract. It doesn’t work’. Compare this to when he had his bags packed and was halfway out the door heading down to Wembley when he said ‘They don’t care whether I’m the manager next year. They wouldn’t lose any sleep over that. That’s football.’

    The man is beyond retarded.

    • kols says:

yes he is!! it is almost beyond belive, almost….

    • sheikh352 says:

The thing is, DtheYid, both statements can’t be wrong. One of them HAS to be right. The way to examine them is to look at the evidence. I think he is correct NOW and was wrong, THEN. Just look at the team’s performances from the time Capello resigned, until the time Hodgson was appointed. Pitiful and uninspired. Once players assumed HR was staying, the wins started up again and, if not for a major blunder in not killing Villa off when we had the chance, all would have been forgiven (if not forgotten). Where Harry is behaving like a twat is that, back in February, it is reported that he stalled on signing a FOUR year deal worth £16 million. That he chose to gamble on getting the England job, rather than dismiss it out of hand, has clearly got up someone’s goat (in the Boardroom). To that end, Levy is under no obligation to rush into anything with Harry and is, in any event, duty-bound to do what is best for the Club and the company. If that results in re-negotiating Harry’s contract, then so be it. If King Daniel feels there is someone better for the job, that’s his and the owners’ prerogative. Either way, the fans are going to ave to live with the decision. Of course, he could simply do nothing and make Harry serve out the remaining year of his contract…

  • Hart says Spurs, Benny says LOL says:

Twitchy Cnut. “I’m a fantastic football manager, your honour”
Judge. “Can I remind you that you are still under oath Mr Redschnapps, any more of that and I’ll have you for contempt”

  • Jjy says:

    Why get rid of Harry
He’s done an amazing job, yes he has his faults, but anyone not supportive and appreciative is being extrememely fickle

    • calebray says:

      because we deserve better.
because we used to be shit isnt a good enough reason.
Because we are so close to doing great things in an honest way – the spurs way.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

jjy, instead of blurting out ‘fickle’ and running away, try making an actual point that you think backs your angst.*

*This is just a thought, you don’t have to.

    • The Tottinghams says:

“extrememely”?! Really? And that wasn’t the most stupid thing you did in you post

  • Mr Yid says:

Would like to point out to those who say Harry has taken Spurs as far he can… That Fergie did not win his first league title till 7 years into his reign!

Compared to Harry who has finished 4th 5th 4th in his first three seasons Fergie went 11th 2nd 11th 13th 6th 2nd in his first six before the title!!

The key for Spurs is stability now whether you like him or not removing him from the role will just send us all the way back to where we were in the first place. We need to stop sacking managers at every possible chance as it won’t get us anywhere.

    • koko61 says:

What about the Fa cup and cup winners cup beforehand, that Fergie one.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

In fairness, Mr Yid, one obvious gulf between these two is I cannot recall Fergie ever saying quite so bloody stupid.

    • Jamie says:

It’s a sensible point, but I think there has to be a distinction between impatient reactionary modern football fans spouting “X Out”…and how a lot of people feel about Harry.
Some thoughts both in response to your point, and points being made in the media.
      1) Ferguson was a young manager who had already won Titles and European Honours…with Aberdeen! He was then and has proven to be at a different level in most areas, not least of all tactically.
      2) Redknapp is all about serving the greater good of Redknapp. He doesn’t build dynasties, he serves himself – and has fallen out with every club since and including West Ham.
      3) He f*cked up our season, showed no leadership or loyalty to the club despite being backed for 2 years with the Tax evasion trial when England wouldn’t touch him…I don’t mean he shouldn’t have been interested in England – I mean he should have said no publicly, and yes privately. His silence was all about putting pressure on Levy to let him go, and to hell with our season….and now expects to click his fingers and be offered a new contract?! Mouthing off in the media to put pressure on us, basically saying “it’s bad for the dressing room” today. F*cking hypocrite.
I don’t like or trust the guy – so have no issue with Levy doing whatever he likes, or fans saying what they like.
BUT….pragmatically, now we’ve missed Rodgers, and being where we are with Modric, Bale, VDV. I’d err on the side of extending him for a year, with lower compensation clauses if he doesn’t get Champions League – or just if he says anything irritating or self serving in the press.
I suspect we have been stalling to suss out the ramifications on player contract extensions..if we’re losing key players anyway then trawl the market for a better manager. Though I suspect that boat has sailed what with Rodgers being snapped up – and who else WASN’T available to them.
Reluctantly, and with a heavy heart, I say we keep him.

      • Mr Yid says:

I understand your points about previous talents and job. All i am simply saying is United are firmly where they are now simply because of Stability, The lack of management change means that only when Fergie felt the need to would the team start changing. As for Spurs how many times have we sacked a manager brought in / sold off players continuosly putting us back to square one. The Harry came in and done what the previous managers couldn’t with the same squad as them and finished 4th. So all im saying is that maybe it could be a massive risk but with a 3 year contract and a couple of good buys why can’t he and the added stability pay off for us??

        • Jamie says:

Stability is essential for success but it doesn’t guarantee it, any more than changing a manager. Harry hasn’t earned a new contract, based on the capitulations of the past 2 seasons. It’s only for discussion because he has a year left.
He’s had relative restrictions in the transfer market, sure. But so have Newcastle and Everton who have bought forwards that would have made the difference. Listening to him closely over the past 2 years, you get the feeling he’s more concerned about what it will look like if HE gets the wrong player – than what’s best for the club.
You mention he’s achieved what others haven’t with the 4th – and to some extent that’s true. What isn’t mentioned by his mates in the press was that a weaker squad also finished 5th two season on the trot 15 months earlier. He spent £48m in his first mid season window. £48m! On Defoe, Palacios, and Keane. With the exception of Walker and Parker (and Ade) – every 1st team player wasn’t bought buy Harry. Most of signings haven’t worked out. I accept he has a knack of gee-ing up players short to medium term, that’s useful but to to challenge at the top level you’ve got to have more.. I’m only not saying Harry out as I don’t see anyone better out there right now. I suspect Levy and the Board see it the same. I suspect Harry knows he’d be on very thin ice this season so is trying to dig his heals in. A 3 year contract represents £10m+ in compensation if we do want to make a change, and quite simply he hasn’t earned that kind of backing. After the debacle he’s just put it through the guys got a bloody nerve to ask for it…but to talk about it publicly? Bloody cheek!

      • sheikh352 says:

George Graham was dismissed for saying far more innocuous and far less damaging things to the media AND after winning the Carling Cup. Not saying I liked the guy that much, given his connection with the scum – but he WAS a proven and successful manager before coming to the Club and won us a trophy while he was here, with a worse squad and in less time.
