When the fox hears the rabbit scream he comes a-runnin’… but not to help

Good morning.

The Mirror run with an interesting piece this morning. Maybe it’s hogwash, after all Goal.com decided to turn the ‘gone by the weekend’ ITK fever on message boards into ‘crunch talks on Friday’.

My guess is that it isn’t hogwash as such, rather the Arry camp having a pretty futile go at trying to boost the old cove’s stock. Their original plan to play the, ‘Chelsea are interested card’ became increasingly unbelievable the more obvious it became in the press that Abramovich only had eyes for Guardiola.

It comes as a Middle East consortium has put together a financial package to try and tempt Redknapp to a job in Qatar.

Redknapp was sounded out last year by a Middle East club, and the Mirror understands there is fresh interest because they feel they may now be able to lure him away.

The 65-year-old fears there is an element at White Hart Lane who may want a change of manager, despite last season’s impressive campaign.

The silence from Redschnapps since the close of the season has been chilling. talkSPORT have resorted to talking calls from members of the public. At the very least this shows Levy & Co. that this plonker’s mind is always on anything other than Tottenham.

Io fei gibetto de le mei case.

I hope somebody knows what they are doing and that im just having these major panic attacks over nothing. I can not take another Petit senario we pay the airfare and the taxi and the scumbags get the player. To be quite honest i wish i could not read. I hate waking up and checking to see if any progress has been made on the transfer front, has DL opened his purse and let out a few moths or has he opened his purse and put a few more coins into the NDP pot. bring on the end of august when all is done and dusted and we the fans know where we stand…….but then we do it all again after christmas just to remind ourselves of what the summer holds

Don’t ask for change just for the sake of it. You might get it, and not like it (aka Ramos). Rodgers and Martinez are all untested. Many players at Spurs put things down to Harry. IF we get a manager, we need someone who can keep the good we have, and attract others. I doubt it too many top overseas players even know Rodgers!

we lose harry like this and we will lose modric, bale, walker, ade, sandro and parker within two years of course everyone will be creaming themnselves when we lose quality like that wont they? Idiots.

If you think Modric will stay only if Redknapp stays, who are you to call other people muppets, muppet?

Good riddance to him to be honest lets bring in AVB and go for the title, hes taken us as far as he can possibly take us. Anything else is mere bullshit that comes out of his mouth don’t believe him for a second.

I don’t think is the case that we want him to go as such, I think anger is vented by reason of his behaviour during the “will he wont he get/take the England job” period, which definitely did have a serious effect on our impetus to get 3rd comfortably. Also the fact that he did not come forward and reassure the fans and players of his intentions. He would have dropped us just like homer drops that Neuclear waste nugget on the Simpsons when the bell goes :-)So taking that into account, we all have reason to feel pissed. This is for all the Pro Arry merchandisers.

And rightly so. I said in Feb, if all Harry has to offer is an arm around the shoulder and a fillip, then what else can he expect from a player who’ll simply say ” WTF do you care, you’re off mate!” But all this is conjecture and rumour, people putting 2 and 2 together and making the first number that springs to mind. Truth of the matter is the people slating him, were slating him during the best run in recent history-so instead of using a cotton bud-they’ve now found a stick-Me?I couldn’t give a toss-managers are only ships in the night-our current one has done a decent job and I’ve seen some great football during his reign
