Good afternoon.

This from long time HH reader Bill and well worth publishing.

Dear Sir,

We wake the other morning to the news that for us, Tottenham Hotspur, the Premiership Title is no-longer a just a fanciful dream or the domain of those with the budget to take seriously.  This should now become our target and with increased commitment and resources winning it will soon become our main objective.

It’s difficult to judge this news, as it has been reported from half of those on the outside looking in that we are in hell at the moment.  We had the sh*t kicked out of us at the end of last season by anyone with a properly prepared team.  We lost our place in the Champions League and we finished with a squad of players who barely the resembled the same team that were put out six months earlier.

There is no momentum to ride off from the tail end of the campaign.  So if you are going to lead us back into the light, then you need to do so from a standing start. This has got to happen on the training field, in the dressing room and in the minds of the players.

I believe that it can be done and from what I have seen and heard so far I believe that you can do it.  But now you have to convince the players.

Train them or trade them.  Now is the time.  Do not flinch from doing what it takes.

Unlike the other lot; we want you to weed out the individual who puts their own ambition above that of the club.  We encourage you change the mind set. We understand the merits of a new approach.  And we are prepared to see this thing through.

AVB this is our club.  We give it you in good faith – return it to us as Champions.

Good luck, you’ll need it.

Kind Regards,

Bill Shears

Adebayor is still on the first team profiles on the Spurs site wearing the new kit

Apart from the fact that under AVB we will now compete at all levels and not just concentrate on a finish in the top 4 by kicking it about a bit and the fact he doesn’t talk boll*cks at every given moment and his face doesn’t look like it’s slipped down a few inches, the main reason I am overjoyed with this appointment is that there is a 100% guarantee that we will never ever sign the dog Terry, Fat Fwank, The Drogba Disease or that annoying little f*cker who was married to that Geordie from Girls allowed…..under the last fruitcake given half a sniff he would have taken em all…..

Hartley I agree 100% with you

harsh Hartley. I am genuinely excited about the future for spurs and definitely thinking getting AVB was the right move, but I can’t understand the hatred for Redknapp from some fans. Sure, he had his limitations but he’s still one of Spurs’ most successful ever managers and we should be grateful for what he did for us.

    • Hartley says:

      Successful, how so pray tell?

        No…..must resist…..don’t bite Phil…..deep breaths………

        Champions League Quarter Final

        Aaaaaaaggggggrrrrrrr now I’ve said it!!

        :daumen:

Actually scratch my last comment, that whole subject has been done to death on here and I can’t be arsed to go over it again.

‘Arry is out, AVB is in so I’m only interested in looking onwards and upwards!

Also I must say I’m loving the way things are going at the moment, I can’t wait for our pre-season tour to begin.

Winning…..the Champions League would be successful, quarter finals and being humiliated is not…..clap on Phil :winke:

        • Hartley says:

Scratch my last comment…..onwards and upwards indeed!

What I hate about Redknapp, is his dishonesty, his selfishness, his disloyalty, his disrespect for his employers, his interviews always promoting himself and blaming his players when they are not at fault. He couldn’t coach players (unless you call ‘just fucking run about a bit or we’ll ‘av a right go at ’em coaching) or buy for the long term.

      • Phil McAvity says:

But apart from that you loved him really right?

        • Stupot says:

Harry did a great job for what we needed at the start. He was MAN MANAGER who gave players confidence and belief, however, that only got us so far. He laid the groundwork for AVB to provide the tactical nounce to prosper even further. HARRY WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT ENGLAND MANAGER. What a shame…England’s situation now is what Spurs situation was when Harry first came in. Lots of good players who needed a father figure who could inspire them mentally and get them going. The F.A ARE C**TS WHO FUCKED US ALL OFF. cRAZY aS a cOcoNUt David Pleat would have guided us to a safe third position if he would have replaced H for last seasons run in for sure. Maybe even more…

I will have to say Fist!

Surely things on the managerial side of happenings can only get better…

    Joe Jordan & Kevin ?
