Good evening.

This just in courtesy of round about 300 people then. The gentleman in the sunglasses is allegedly one Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas. The location allegedly Kensington, London. The time? Today.

One thing is for sure, the instantly dislikeable pilchards either side of him haunt  that particular postcode in some number.

Graham Roberts was on talkSPORT the old rogue, tempting and teasing us like some big curvy burlesque bint flashing us the merest hint of ITK knicker elastic.  There’s Arab money on the cards.

I’d prefer an investment over a buyout. Levy & Co at the helm all the way for me. Harrumph, harrumph.

Joao Moutinho’s in the papers. Lots of mumbles trying to link him as a transfer target. Will she, won’t she? Who knows. But I like this quote from a player who is quite rightly held in such high regard.

‘AVB is one of the best coaches I’ve worked with. ‘I’d work with him again tomorrow.’

I’ve got bright red Chopper, great condition but it needs greasing up a bit. The woman next door sometimes uses it, but because of her age she has trouble lubricating it.

I’m with you on this HH 100%. My hunch is there’s some investment involving naming rights and shares in THFC. Come what may, I’d want Levy at the helm. The guy as guts and vision. 6 years ago we were planning the new £45m training and academy complex – now up there with the best in Europe. No other chairman in England has shown the kind of foresight to build a legacy, looking beyond the next season.
The moment we can kick off Stadium funding, is the moment we can spread our wings financially and build upon this exceptionally promising group of young players. We will consolidate, we will compete, and we will challenge for trophies once more. COYS

I’m with you. If the stadium gets done we’d be unstoppable

Agree. Keeping Levy in charge is vital for future success. Don’t want a take over if it means he is out the door.

    • Terry says:

I agree with Levy at the helm when it comes to financials. he’s a tight bast**d but he is what has made us so financially attractive to potential buyers.

Can some one give me 5 good reason’s why AVB is the best man for this job. Because as far as I can see he had an average 8 odd month’s with a small club a wonder year at porto and 9 month’s of crap with Chelsk. What’s the big thing. Someone please enlighten me.

Spurs de-listed themselves so they could bring in a sizeable chunk of investment from an outside party, it’s why joe Lewis has been spending more time than usual over here

on top of that bales signed for huge money, if levy breaking the wage cap by 50% isn’t a sign of big money coming in then what is?

On AVB. he had an excellent spell at his first club academia, if taking over a club mid way through the season that is bottom by a mile and guiding them to midtable and a cup semi final before being poached by the biggest club in the country then u must be extremely successful with the standards you set

His Chelsea spell, had a better prem league record than RDM and he is being called the best manager there in a generation

Bring on AVB I say, he has had an excellent schooling, plays attacking football and has youth an determination. could be the start of a legacy!

        • Terry says:

But didn’t HR do the same with us? Better if I remember and he has a proven track record in England. We are a in different league all together. Will his style work?? we will have to wait and see.
Listen, I’m not hearing anything concrete. I am very reserved with AVB coming to spurs and I gather that the majority of Spurs fans are optimistic but I think this is a huge risk. We have gambled on managers in the past and it just did not work.

I think we’re in an unusual position whereby it’s no longer relevant to compare Redknapp’s abilities with those of his successor.
HR got himself fired by his actions and behaviour in his last 6 months. He did great for us, but everything that happened after the trial imo had made his position completely untenable with the board.
Perhaps the strain of the trial and attention got to him in the end, either way the new man should be judged from a clean slate. What do we expect he can do with our resources?
The important thing for the club is that Levy has someone he feels he can work with in the transfer market. With AVB and Sherwood – I think we will invest wisely again. When was the last time we bought a 17yr old Lennon or Bale? Or made a big statement on a Berba or £18m Modric? It’s a new cycle for the squad, and personally I’m excited.
As for AVB’s coaching – my feeling is the club will have made some enquiries about his coaching and man management acumen – outside of the Chelsea reign. Lets face it Chelsea is a weird club with weird politics. It’s well documented Abramovich was furious with the players for undermining AVB.
Our PR has been well correographed – we leaked it 3 weeks ago to let the hacks puff themselves out. Moutinho talked him up in the Sundays.
If nothing else it’s a brave and ambitous move by the club – Audere est Facere and all that! COYS

5 good reasons why AVB could be successfull:

        1. Schooled by Mourinho, who many see as the best manager around.

        2. Took his first club from bottom of the league to midtable safety and narrowly missed out on cup final (if a man who never managed before came and did that at wolves last season everyone here would be going mad for them, yet you call that mediocre)

        3. Wiped the floor with Porto

        4. tactically progressive, actually got Chelsea playing football in the first couple of months, till the players realised it was too much work and not what they’re used to!

        5. One of the stars of the Euros, Moutinho said he would work again with AVB……tomorrow

      • Crisandro says:

He took a relegation-threatened Academica and made them midtable and a cup semi-final.

Guided Porto to the treble including European success.

He is a proven winner and has a trophy ladened history in his short time.

4 trophies in three seasons compared to Harry’s spectacular 1 trophy in 30 years. Awesome.

That’s only four reasons. But still he pisses over the beloved Harry Redknapp by a while.

We need a top top keeper.
