€30M Moutinho & €18M Adrian

Good afternoon.

John Terry may have walked from Westminster Court clutching a ‘Not Guilty’, but his footsteps always tread sewage wherever he goes. I spotted this and it’s an excellent summary of what went on link

What is vital is that he is now properly dealt with by the FA and quite rightly done for bringing the game into disrepute. Something he, his father, his mother and his jackal of a brother have been doing for years.

Moutinho has been valued at €30M by Porto so say TuttomercatoWeb this morning. Which immediately says two things. He’s not priced to sell and those suggesting we’re close to signing him must know an awful lot that you and I do not.

ElMundodeportivo believe that the Modric to Real Madrid deal negotiations have ‘intensified’ in the last few hours. There has been a mumble that Benzema might be involved in the deal to break the burden of the big cash fee Spurs want. But I’m unconvinced about this.

For one, since I announced Benzema joining us on loan last Christmas he’s hardlt impressed. I can’t recall one memorable performance in the Lilywhite. For two, this just smacks of a journo making something up – as per the Carvalho tale.

Spanish organ Marca are saying that we’re in for Athletico Madrid’s Adrian. He’ll only cost €18M. This must come with it’s own warning too and could in theory be a tale sparked off the back of the player reportedly halting contract negotiations with his current employers.

Moutinho is a very good player but 30ml is ridiculous, he’s had a good euros but I’ve watched him at porto & there’s times u wouldn’t know hes playing, about 16ml is all he’s worth & definately no more than 20ml.
He’s not in same LG as modric doesn’t have passing range or see things as quick as luka.
If we want someone as good as modric we should b after Ever banega moutinho wouldn’t lace banega’s boot laces & would probably cost less.
I wouldn’t mind us taking a punt on young player like parejo who has the talent & with right coaching could b top class.
I like Adrian think he’s a fine player so would b happy. if he arrived. Would love us to get Alvaro Morata or callejon or both as part of luka deal. I have a feeling betinho of sporting Lisbon 18yr old striker smashed goals in next-gen last yr, shares same agent as AVB so wouldn’t b surprised to see him coming in fits remit of buying young, he’s technique to burn but still a bit lightweight.
As for Terry case I think it looks really bad on ashley cole especially considering his ex-wife was found quilty of racial abuse hardly a credible witness. As for what FA can do well for a start they can being in a rule that if a player makes reference to colour, sexual orientation or so on & so on no matter what the context gets an automatic 6 month ban + manager of club gets a 3 game touchline ban & club gets 3 point reduction, get tough with them fines mean nothing.

never understood why the fa are broke. if they had some balls and fined correctly, real fans could go to a match at wembley

a fine shouldnt be a fixed amount, it should be a percentage of revenue.

      That would have them behaving.

      oh yeah!!!

Are you based in Spain/Portugal, Doc, because you seem to have a pretty strong understanding of where the talent is?

Never, ever buy a player solely based on International form, why, even GDS looks brilliant in a Mexican shirt, and Gerry Armstrong was a footballing genius in Spain ’82

why do you even exist on here, suppose you got fuck all else to do with your time other than to conjure up bullshit,so pipe down u mug and we’ll believe it when we see it,not just because you claim to be in the know, your just getting your stories from other shitety sites u mug

All the Potugese speaking candidates are to the fore to replace Modric.

RM are going for the big one this season and I cannot see ANY of their leading players wanting to jump ship. If they get Modric they’ll be joint favourites for the UCL.

Our Brazilian contacts need to come up trumps. If we haven’t got 1st dibs on Internacional players then why bother having a special relationship?

I’ve seen on video the 19 goals that Adrian has scored last season and I liked him. Now we have signed Ade we need a such kind of striker to partner him. Adrian has scored all his goals using his brains, his pace and quick reflexes as well by taking the proper position. He has scored many direct goals but also a lot from rebounds. Also he has headed a number of goals last season. He can play also as a winger. I wish the rumours are true and that we can sign him. I think he is the missing link in our strikers issue.

  • Faux says:

With names such as Benzema, Adrien, Damiao, Oscar, Ganso, Affelay, Moutinho, Sahin and of course Adebayor, it is just nice to see Spurs actively taking charge in the transfer market and not just sitting back praying nobody takes away Modric. I am allowing myself some cautious optimism.
