Dembele Then Lloris And At Least One More

Good morning.

Lloris’s arrival at The Lane is imminent we’re told. One commentator on Spurs Community suggesting that after negotiations didn’t seem to have achieved too much s few weeks back we apparently received a call a day or two ago essentially saying, ‘if you still want him, we’re good to go.’

Friedel is owed a debt of thanks by Spurs fans for stepping into a situation that was pretty horrible. Gomes, once one of the finest goal keepers in the world reduced to a wincing shadow of his former self.

Moussa Demebele is allegedly a Spurs player too. This is an inspired bit of business and for all the talk of Moutinho, this guy knows the league and is ready to rock.

The third kit is out. This exquisite garment has been lovingly manufactured by Maison Sweatshop Under Armour and comes as is in a duo tone Battleship Grey and Taxi de Londres. If I’d known this was in the pipeline I’d have given the 125th kit an easier ride.

The window closes at midnight in two days time and not before. There should be more signings, possibly two, certainly one. Levy & Co. have not been dawdling, these deals are complex. But then the intelligent amongst you already knew that.

It is all sounding positive, incomings and outgoings. Have to confess to being worried about signing a French goalkeeper though. It just doesn’t sound right. No tradition in that area. It is like eastern european wines; no real reason why they should not be any good but none of them ever are

      Fabien Barthez?

Tokay & BikavĂ©r (Bulls Blood) two pretty damn good Hungarian wines…Match any good french plonk! Anyway Barthez was pretty good!

Wasnt Barthez the french Gomes? A world class goalkeeper on his day goalkeeper but oft the clown that cost his team.

Has to be said Lloris is a top keeper already; already French International captain, still young enough to improve further, and graced with the confidence and ability to be our keeper for a number of years.

You don’t win trophies without having a world class keeper between the sticks. Barthez’ long list of winners’ medals should tell you he was an outstanding goalkeeper.

Very happy with the signings. Dembele still needs to mature a bit as a central playmaker. Great talent but needs to learn to set the tempo more rather than galloping through the centre every time. You could see flashes of this at Old Trafford, but he needs to adapt to the role of releasing Bale, Lennon, Walker. Hopefully this will be where AVB proves his coaching credentials!
I also agree with the above. Looks like if we sign VDV, we’ll be looking to get M’Villa or Moutinho in and jig players around. I can understand now why we’ve been trying to get Tommy out to play some games. Ambitious and exciting moves afoot!

So far so good, but lets not just sign midfielders we need another striker.

Loic Remy & Willian/M’Vila/Granero. Happy with Dembele & Lloris.
