€9M Deal On The Cards (Don’t Worry, It’s Not Chamakh)

Good morning.

Italian media tuttomercatoweb.com lead the way this morning confirming some of the more informed mumbles over here that we’re in for Jack Butland. The Birmingham boy would be great addition. Brad undoubtedly has a part to play but the question marks over just how suited he is to André Villas-Boas’ brave new world are beginning to loom.

It would be a crying shame if Gomes’ career were parked in a cul de sac with us. But what can be done? With the new boss’s clear intention to rotate (opposed to the swiveling of his predecessor) it is hopefully the case that we see him in the Europa. At this rate it could be up front, which might be less surreal an idea than you think as if memory serves me well he started out as a striker. The circle of life, eh?

The Marouane Chamakh on loan piece by our old friend John Cross isn’t worth the steam off our collective effluence.  This smacks to me of a circulation issue. Clearly his wife’s knickers are too tight and it’s affecting the amount of oxygen getting to his brain.

Elsewhere, it is being rumoured on the excellent COYS that some bloke called Emmanuel Adebayor was spotted in The Plough public house in Cuffley where he was reported to be threatening …to play against West Brom.

I’d take Chamahk – controversial yes, but assuming Ade comes, then I think the Moroccan would be a reasonable enough 3rd choice.

    Fü¢% him,we need a Œ@nt¼ng striker!

Nobody will believe me but take note … We are in for Wesley Sneijder. Whether we get him or not is another matter.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate the last week of August.

I am trying to be patient like you said HH but it’s not easy. If we gift the opposition 6 points in August while we assemble a team, like last year, we will not have the advantage of having done it against the Manchester clubs, like last year. Not that this is news to Levy or anyone on the forum, but just saying.

In other news, I am gutted that Thud seems to have fallen out with AVB. He is something of an atypical player but when given the chance, the guy has played really well for us. Recall the fixture in Berne, as well as the fact that he played every week the one season we qualified for the CL – with half of that season spent in an attacking role.

But between his tweets and e fact that he wasn’t even on the bench on Saturday, it looks like there is some kind of problem. His ‘respect is earned’ tweet is worrisome too, after one game. And I don’t just mean worrisome as relating to Thud.

Agreed, I don’t think AVB should be losing any of the dressing room before we’ve even kicked a ball in anger, especially the best attack-minded CM option we currently have at the club. But then, he lost the entire Chelsea dressing room so he obviously isn’t adverse to falling out with people.

Detective Sandy Vagina is on the case again :cop:

In all fairness, it’s hard to get on really well with every player at a football club. Every good manager has let very good players go simply because they don’t get on. AVB does though, seem to be from The Maureen School of Tompus Possars. Lets hope he’s just as special. Hudds is moody. Probably just an obvious clash that can’t be helped. No worries. AVB’ll get someone good in. Tom has great qualities but a few weaknesses as well. Tom say AVB lost the ‘whole’ Chelsea room is maybe an exaggeration. What a bad apple or two can do…

Huddlestone has no right to go slagging off the manager when you look at the recent photograph og him in the Mail. He’s as fat as a pig.

    • JimboTHFC says:

He is one of the few players we have that can pass and look to open up the opposition. The problem with him is thats all he has and if his passing is off then he looks poor.

Or a bit like a fat pig.

Thud is the one player who owes a lot to Juande Ramos, whose obsession with diet and cardio training had a noticeable effect on Tom.

You can slag him off as a fat ass, but with a frame like his, conditioning will always be a big challenge – and the key to his performances. He’s been out injured for a YEAR. Nothing is tougher than staying fit through a long injury. Thud has has several since his peak in Harry’s first two years / the aftermath of Juande’s programme.

If he’s way overweight then it explains a lot. He should get off Twitter. Here’s hoping he can get back to form. He’s a very good player when fully fit and we need him a lot right now.

lolololol Get off Twitter… Or if you gon sit on ur ass all day do some speed or summit. I feel Davspurs will be on later due to some earlier energy remarks. Maybe ask him what they’re all taking? Good Ramos drop, Gator, but Tom’s taking thousands off us each week and you’re hinting he hasn’t the motivation to stay fit. He’s moody, probably depressive, and on the field often slow and clumsy and aggressive as a result. We can find someone with less weaknesses.Lennon is a bit gangsta and there’s talk there – Inter. Boas prolly too professional for all this. He’s all wavey hair and dinner suits. But he likes super fast players and so do I, so I’m hoping to be impressed with any signings.
