Hurrah! We’ve Signed Willian. Probably.

Good afternoon ladies.

A journalist for Russia Today a Mr Aleksey Yaroshevsky told talkSPORT earlier that he understands from his Ukrainian sources that we have agreed a deal with Shaktar Donetsk for the services of Willian.

Whilst certain sectors of the media were quick to run with the old, ‘rejected bid’ spiel this may well prove yet again to be a case journos simply making stuff to fill column inches.

Is he worth £20m? At this stage my immediate response has to be who cares. A long term target of the boss. Get the boy in.

I see that quotes accredited to me appear on a another Spurs blog. To say these quotes have been doctored would be flattering. Then if my blog was 30,000 places behind his [according to Alexa.com] and if I was an insecure bed-wetter then maybe I’d behave like that. On an upbeat note I got the emails in earlier today confirming that the same gang of illiterate hyenas are now being pursued by various bodies for both content violations and abuse of usage terms.

Lots of ways to skin a cat especially a stupid one. My preferred method is always with an unfeasibly sharp knife.

I’m sick of Daniel Levy and his long protracted dramas. What is the point? Everyone and his mother knows about him being a hard man to negotiate with….including every club in the world. So he gets 33 million for Modric, and then the price of every player he wants to bring in ,goes right up.I don’t get him,or his riduiculous tactics. Can’t wait for the day he’s gone..ditto AVB..What the fk has this guy done except have one good season with FC Porto? He postures alot and talks a good game.I’ve seen nothing that tells me that he’s changed from his time at Chelsea.I may turn out to be wrong but I doubt it.MY bet is that he doesn’t see out the season. He’;s already caused a bit of unrest in the dressing room with the whole Dawson saga.Making a guy captain one week and telling himhe can go the next? WTF? Sorry maybe they operatelike that on the continent but you don’t do that to a guy who plays for the shirt, and gives 120% every single game.Give me a manager like David Moyes any day of the week over this joker who’s the head coach now.Look what he’s done at Everton on a shoestring budget.Just imagine what he could do with a few more quid to spend. Thats the sort of manager I want, not some posturing idiot who for some reason has been been elevated to postions way above his capabilities.

Go and support Everton then. After reading your post, pretty sure you won’t be missed here.

The truth is that the jury is still out on AVB. Brian’s rant represents the worst case scenario. Everything he says about AVB (I will stay out of the Moyes discussion) could turn out to be true and if he is a failure then yes, we have already seen some worrying signs.

But come on…it’s been two games. He’s bringing in a new system and apparently, a bunch of new players who better fit that system. I really like Dawson but would he play at Citeh/Chelsea/Utd? Hasn’t he been injured for most of the last two seasons?

We’re committed to AVB and we’ve got to give the man a chance. If he does in fact fail spectacularly, it will hurt our club. Everyone has the same doubts about him – it goes with the territory when you are a young coach who didn’t play the game, who has already failed once. We’ve also had a couple of Continental flame-outs like Santini and Ramos (who actually got us some silverware first so hate to be disrespectful) so understand our fan base being wary. We’ve been burned before.

But it’s too late now…and too early to start lighting yourself on fire. Let’s see who is in the squad Friday at midnight, and then let’s see if that squad plus AVB can win games like the last regime did, however flawed it was.

I get sick of the likes of you, you have little or no idea about the mechanics of football, and assume that because we can’t sign ‘big name’ players, it must be the chairman’s fault. Look at our current circumstances, and then look at the teams above us and those below? Are we suddenly flush?, do we have a gazillion millionaire backing us?..what about an Arab state?…oh,perhaps a 60k stadium and a worldwide fan base with the cast of billions? No, what we have is a guy doing brilliantly with what he’s had to work with, far better than Newcastle, Villa and Everton, who are comparable to us in size, but of course, not in stature-you should be on bended knee old fruit, and giving thanks-not spouting the ill-thought out crap I’ve just had to read!

Interestingly Dembele is actually flemish for dumbell.. Arsene is actually a French prick.. Who’d have thought…

  • lecoqhardi says:

This ‘giving 120%’ business. Remember how they explained it to Rooney when he said he always gave 150%?
“Now Wayne. You take two prostitutes back to your hotel and you shag three of them.”

  • Boy Charioteer says:

Just been entertained by a Man U fan on YouTube. “Dembele is the player we need”.
