Hurrah! We’ve Signed Willian. Probably.

Good afternoon ladies.

A journalist for Russia Today a Mr Aleksey Yaroshevsky told talkSPORT earlier that he understands from his Ukrainian sources that we have agreed a deal with Shaktar Donetsk for the services of Willian.

Whilst certain sectors of the media were quick to run with the old, ‘rejected bid’ spiel this may well prove yet again to be a case journos simply making stuff to fill column inches.

Is he worth £20m? At this stage my immediate response has to be who cares. A long term target of the boss. Get the boy in.

I see that quotes accredited to me appear on a another Spurs blog. To say these quotes have been doctored would be flattering. Then if my blog was 30,000 places behind his [according to Alexa.com] and if I was an insecure bed-wetter then maybe I’d behave like that. On an upbeat note I got the emails in earlier today confirming that the same gang of illiterate hyenas are now being pursued by various bodies for both content violations and abuse of usage terms.

Lots of ways to skin a cat especially a stupid one. My preferred method is always with an unfeasibly sharp knife.

Hmm.. According to Talks**t Walcott fast becoming a liability to A*****l.

Delighted with Dembele, hope he signs quickly in case man u step in. Like all new signings, you never know for sure how they are going to impact the team, good or bad or a let down(Pienaar), but i have high hopes for Dembele. I think he will make things tick in the midfield which is exactly what we are missing.
Fingers crossed for more good signings by friday.COYS.

So things are starting to fall into place. Willian Dembele Lloris in, Azza shakey, VdV poss out. Hudd on loan(?) I agree with another poster that Lennon is pacey but he doesn’t have the threat on goal or the delivery and vision of a top winger. He has less impact than Walcott. As much as I have enjoyed VdV in Lilywhite he is slow and as he only lasts for 60 minutes he puts pressure on our bench and is a liability in AVB’s high pressure defense. I would keep Azza, even as a bench player but we must recoup something for JJ and Bentley at least. Oh and a fill er up striker please!!

Isn’t Nani up for grabs too? I think he’s a good player, he certainly made us look slow and shite last season

Agree with you Gus, VdV is a superb player but he just cannot last the whole game. He cannot play centre midfield as he is just not fit enough so the only option with him is 4-4-1-1. He has great ability but as Real Madrid decided with him he is a bit too much of a luxury. Think Dembele would be brilliant playing as one of a three in support of lone striker. So Bale, Dembele, Willian or Remy would be very handy indeed, playing in support of Adebayor or dare we dream Llorente (now that would be good). Would love to think we could still get Moutinho to play centre midfield with Sandro/Parker as minder. Hudd would be a good partner for Sandro/Parker but I just wonder if he is really fit enough ?

    So a line up of….

    Lloris

    Walker Kaboom Vertonghen AnE

    Sandro Moutinho

    Willian or Remy Dembele Bale

    Adebayor or ideal world Llorente

    Subs etc
    Parker
    Friedal
    Naughton
    Caulker
    Dawson
    Defoe
    Lennon
    Liversalts
    Townsend
    Kane
    Carroll Tom

Its all down to DL to get the deals done but it

    Looks promising. COYS !
