Hurrah! We’ve Signed Willian. Probably.

Good afternoon ladies.

A journalist for Russia Today a Mr Aleksey Yaroshevsky told talkSPORT earlier that he understands from his Ukrainian sources that we have agreed a deal with Shaktar Donetsk for the services of Willian.

Whilst certain sectors of the media were quick to run with the old, ‘rejected bid’ spiel this may well prove yet again to be a case journos simply making stuff to fill column inches.

Is he worth £20m? At this stage my immediate response has to be who cares. A long term target of the boss. Get the boy in.

I see that quotes accredited to me appear on a another Spurs blog. To say these quotes have been doctored would be flattering. Then if my blog was 30,000 places behind his [according to Alexa.com] and if I was an insecure bed-wetter then maybe I’d behave like that. On an upbeat note I got the emails in earlier today confirming that the same gang of illiterate hyenas are now being pursued by various bodies for both content violations and abuse of usage terms.

Lots of ways to skin a cat especially a stupid one. My preferred method is always with an unfeasibly sharp knife.

Is this a Van Der Vaart replacement? cos I don’t think he’s going to replace Modders.
Isco sounds like the one and Malaga are fecked financially

    • LLL says:

Not a Modric replacement, another versatile forward not striker type I guess. AVB likes to play with 2 fluid fellas supporting up front and we currently have Bale, Lennon, Glyfi I guess, he will be another (if he’s coming), has a better goal pedigree than Lennon or Bale.

      • Yid Vicious says:

No he doesn’t. Since Bale’s been moved further up to play on the wing he’s outscored Willian comfortably and the Ukranian league isn’t exactly flooded with quality.

        • LLL says:

Alright then, you got me. What do we want him for?

Weirdly, if we are looking for a kind of wide forward player, why not go back to Remy who knocks them in in the French league and finally seems to be available for sale?

      • Alspur says:

        He’s scored 28 goals in 188 appearances in Ukraine… not exactly prolific…

You’ve also have to consider that he’s been there since he was 18, and we all know players of the age peak and trough until levelling out in their early twenties-anyway that’s why we’ve got a new bloke in, he likes him and it’s his head on the block if goes titties up

I would have thought the Isco deal could be tied up nicely by offering Dos Santos to them in exchange with a bit of cash. GDS wants to go back to Spain so should suit him. WDYT?

  • MarseilleYid says:

Many times we make signings that no ITKs had even predicted – Modric, Berbatov, VdV. I wonder whether we are in for a similar surprise this week?

  • Si says:

Just Dembele necessary. Willian looks a little like a Gervinho. Oh and Damaio ffs! Just pay the £ and get him in, perfection.

  • Belgian Delight says:

Please Mr Levy sign Moussa Dembele now!!

Here is some footage of the boy last weekend.. class act

    • LLL says:

I think Dembele is the best option for us in Modric position atm. Bit worried that Utd want him too as they need him just as badly…

  • MarseilleYid says:

Lloris and M’Vila may not play our highest priority positions right now, but they both represent outstanding investments to our long-term future.
