Was A New Spurs Striker In The Crowd At Watford?

Good morning?

If you were to take every collective drop of inner calm, tolerance and inner peace from Spurs fans at the moment you’d be lucky to fill an egg cup.

Here’s a snippet to encourage many to pick up that piece of breakfast crockery and hurl it into the middle of next week.  Spurs supporter @slkofficial has told me that Louis Saha was with the Tottenham playing contingent in the crowd at the Watford game …sporting a Spurs tracksuit.

This has to indicate that his relationship is more than a friendly face that just happened to be in the area and popped along to watch the boys.

I maintain I’m excited enough by the thought of goals coming from Gilly, Bale, vDV, Gio and Coulibaly all being played in an intelligent system by an intelligent manager, but my guess is I’m probably in a minority…

    Inner calm and tolerance.

The first time (19 YO) I was sent off, it was a mis-timed tackle on their right winger, took the man and the ball, tough but not dirty, we were 2-1 up with 22 mins left at home.
Felt aggrieved but left the pitch and went to the CR, flung the door open and almost took it off the hinges. Sat on the bench curseing to myself.
Two mins later Billy (Manager) came in, the door was off the hinge, wouldn’t close properly.
He told me to collect my stuff and get out of his sight, didn’t want me there when the lads returned.
Be at his office at 10:30 Monday Morning, I slinked off out the main door and got the bus home.
Got pissed Sat night at the local pub, went for a run Sun morning convinced I was out of the club. Early morning run 5k Monday was really crapping myself then.
Turned up outside the office 5 mins early, shirt and tie, was like waiting for the Headmaster.
Fined 2 weeks wages plus shelled out for door repairs and an almighty dressing down that still reverberates today….the grounds not to blame, the clubs not to blame and the door was certainly not to blame,…..Who was ? (Was actually a lot more graphic than that).
What a plonker I was, thankfully I’m much calmer now, much more rounded but I can’t stand people who slam doors.
We did win the game 2-1, no thanks to me.

if i were a betting man, i’d say levy’s working out a loan for a striker or two, co’s the last one wee bought was 3mp many windows ago, i could be wrong.

A loan for a striker? Sounds so tantalizing. You mean we could yet have another Frazier Campbell on our hands?

Raz – Did you apologise to the right winger?

In those days it was part and parcel of the game but we did shake hands on it in the away fixture.
Learned a useful lesson that day, bad enough getting myself sent off but to compound it through petulance was inexcusable.

adebayor is critical. It would be incredible if it didn’t get sorted but if it doesn’t we will struggle to trouble arsenal..

Is it just me or does it feel that all that hope and excitement of a few weeks ago when ‘H’ got the tin tac and AVB came and there was talk of Kuwati/Lewis money and Vertonghen and Siggy signed is evaporating like a ballon with a slow puncture… surely we cannot go into another new season with a squad that is still lacking strikers that we have needed in truth since we lost Berbatoss and PSB. Last season we started in disarray and were tonked in our first two matches which cost us points and goal difference. One of those points possibly costing us a CL place and £30 million quid in revenue.. how is it that we can end up repeating the same mistakes again.. where is the Kuwati money?? How can AVB hit the ground running with what we have up front at the moment…. even if we go get a couple of strikers tomorrow its unlikely they will bed in in time for the start of the new season….
