A Lightning Poll On The Norwich Game – Vote Now!

Good evening.

The issue of the moment really does appear to be that of booing.  Oh yes, you can always rely upon me to have my finger on the pulse. Don’t you worry about that. I’m blessed with the vision of a hawk, the flighty mental agility of Sapphire & Steel.

To boo or not to boo?

The case from the defence counsel: Negativity in the workplace ain’t no good. It spreads like a poison and with an equally ‘orrible effect. If a reader can point to just a single example whereby anyone ever raised their game in any environment by being booed then us know. To paraphrase the old Monty Python line, ‘Boo some sense into ‘im!’

Booing your own is counter productive. Home fans booing is sabotage, they should sit in the away end.

The case from the prosecuting counsel: Depriving people of free speech isn’t on. These days fans are called ‘customer reference numbers and so why shouldn’t they be simply allowed to voice their dissatisfaction as customers? If a business doesn’t listen to it’s customers then surely it’s screwed.

I boo to let all concerned know that I’m not happy.

I think boo-ing is pretty stupid full stop and is commonly practiced by people with no imagination.

If you return an item to a store, you don’t boo at them.

If your dog poops on the floor, you don’t boo at it.

If your missus doesn’t get the offside rule, even though you’ve explained it a thousand times with salt and pepper shakers with the cutlery as goal posts. You don’t lean forward and shout,
    “BOOOOOO”

It’s moronic. It’s what X-factor audiences do ffs!

No tottenham fan is thrilled at the sight of woeful football, it just doesn’t necessitate that kind of reaction.

The team needs us to be the 12th man out there.

We have 3 key central players from last season missing and AVB has thrown together a team out of what he had left and what we’ve just signed. Give the bloke a few more games!\

And poor Dembele etc. Only been here 5 mins and what have they let themselves in for?
The poor football was embarrassing, but the attitude of some of the fans is just shameful. Acting like a bunch of Liverpool fans.
    Seriously. Liverpool fans.

People knocking AVB neeed to realise they are not in full possession of the facts. do you really think all things equal he would start with Defoe over Ade? He’s not a blithering idiot, he knows the problems and he knows the solution too.

Fact ism he hasn’t trained properly for weeks, and needs time to get his fitness up. Same with Hud, who pre-injury was a glorious passer of the ball with great vision, and Dembele only trained on Thurs and Fri. AVB did the right thing by benching them, but after the international break we should start to see an improvement – when they have had time to train together, gain fitness and Dempsey is fully integrated into the squad. I personally will only start judging our performances properly after the Man U away game.
The problem is by then if the supporters haven’t got of his and the players back it may cause him to lose the dressing room. That is why booing is so disgraceful.

  • Pantomine Horse says:

And that is also why the pup AVB has been sold by Levy is also so disgraceful. How much did RM offer for Modric in Jul? £27m + add. How much did they pay – £27m + adds.

How much was Moutinho to buy in Jul – 30m euros. How much did we apparently agree to pay for him at 2200 on Fri night – you guessed it 30m euros.

He has wasted AVB’s time, our time and the player’s time. He needs to realise this deadline rubbish doesn’t work – either cough up early or sign Dempsey.

Great planning Levy. Tell us another one.

I’m sure we all agree that the team needed a rocket up their arse from the manager at half time.. Isn’t a short boo at half time from the crowd a similar signal of dissatisfaction..?
It’s kinda all we have in that respect, and it’s certainly better then cnuting off the players during play.. Which is far worse imo. But you’ll still hear that at every game.

I was there.. I sung with the rest of the shelf for 90 mins.. I didn’t boo.. I was disappointed at those that did.. But just putting the argument out there.

The performance was shit. Some boo’d.. they had their reasons..

    COYS

Just a little thought. COYS. It stands for come on you Spurs. If we are winning 4-0 what’s the point of singing come on you Spurs? It’s a song of encouragement, there to lift the players and help them win. It’s what should have been sung at half time, not boos. I don’t know any “booers” and never seen any, even my Dad who’s a lifelong Spurs fan and therefore an eternal pessimist would never consider booing. I think it’s abhorrent. Hmm, little thought grew a little bit more, but you get the point. Back under my rock I crawl.

I thought I should add that I have only been to the Lane a few times, once in a shocking loss to the Barcodes, never heard a boo then.
