The Adebayor thing is now officially an issue. Despite the boss’ faith in Defoe he’s such a one dimensional option I can’t help but think that right now, ‘we’re merely getting away with it.’ Teams need some luck, for sure. But I fear we frittered a fair whack of ours in Southampton.

He also bought Dempsey, mind. v Norige = as full a team as we can. We’re a few games from lifting a trophy and The Canaries are no mugs as their results this season have shown. Also our current best 11 is looking a little ’97 to me, anyway. We’ll do well to get through with Damps, Livermore, a struggling Siggy and shoot-at-all-costs upfront, as it is. Key changes such as Lloris, Ade if poss, but keep the core in there. Lots of criticism of Walker on here atm but bear in mind how intricate AVB [seemingly] is compared to Kyles’ old managers. Like re-learning something you thought you had nailed on. He’ll come good.
A bit off topic I know, but how about a love split with Friedel swapping positions with Defoe
