The fat may well have been well and truly chewed out by now, so I would simply add the following:
Hugo was spritely, Walker was unconvincing despite the low scale oppo, Awesome Dawson was moderately awesome, Verhonkytongts was quality, Naughton looked every inch a bloke being played out of position, Azza was his default setting of ‘a bit underwhelming’, Carroll was a shining star, Dances With Cake was sluggish, Bale was frequently causing a disturbance in the force, Ade was doing decent impressions of a good footballer and the Midget Gem was a non stop goal machine.
Hurrah.

Good result although it should’ve been 3-0 and we all know it. Again, some good possession play that didn’t amount to all that much. Is this a good way to play? Is it the continental way? Isn’t it what Liverpool are doing but a tiny bit crapper than us? Carroll had some vision, great pass from Hudd to Bale for the 3rd, but overall it’s all a bit ‘where’s Luka?’ for me. I doubt we’d beat Everton nor probably Newcastle right now, which must be a concern. Dembele might plug the gap though.

Also I wish some of you would give Dawson a little more time to redeem himself, he must have hit 6 crossfield passes to Bale the other night and I had to check it was not Hudd they were that good!!
(and Beckenbauers dont grow on trees buddy!) Neither are not near eoughg fit and need time which we do not have with our squad as it is. They have both had a terrible time with injuries and with a little more confidence Dawson might just get back to the Dawson we had under BMJ who was immense and a grounded passionate Spurs fan also, which we dont have many of those these days.

I wast at the game it was not great but the tempo will be different against City and who knows…. we need herioc performances like Celtic gave the other night thats what we currently lack plus the belief.
