Join The SAS

Good morning.

Ten games in and the mood in the camp is best described an eclectic mix. Players on Twitter have been abused before they’ve even finished playing games and fans attending home games are reportedly setting up their own union SAS (Supporters Against Support).

This group, spearheaded by 3 fat blokes in the Coach & Horses public house who describe their association as, ‘Somewhere staunch fans can inflict their contempt for all they hold sacred about Spurs without being interrupted. Divorced and separated welcome.’

Ringleader Teddy Wind told me, ‘We’ve had enough mate. Levy’s only it for the money he sold Modric and bought himself an aeroplane I bet you didn’t know that? And don’t even get me started on that ginger ponce. Taking off that Defoe was a liberty. No wonder we’re squaring up to a relegation scrap. We predicted the dark days of Santini were coming back and this is straw that broke the thing.’

As HP says, supporting Spurs, it’s in his Jeans…saucy !

My sources from inside the lane tell me that weve already lined deals up for January. He couldnt confirm names but a top class striker, supposedly, is a done deal.

If you didn’t want to move to Stratford you were lumped in with the evil bed sheet brigade and the Chick King chain gang.

Now, any criticism of AVB and Levy, you automatically qualify as an evil boo boy and are to blame for every bad result.

Just go along with Harry and you’ll be fine around here.

There’s criticism and there’s stupidity. We’re 10 games in, half the team injured, but we sit equal 4th. A new manager trying to implement a change in the way we play, with limited resources. Yes, we haven’t been playing well, but that has been the case since trouncing the barcodes 5 nil months ago.

And the booing. WHAT FOR? A spurs supporter, supports. I understand the frustration, we were shite on saturday, but booing creates a vicious circle re motivation, media beat-ups and self fulfilling prophecies. If you’re at the game and you can’t back the team with support, then suffer in silence or leave early and don’t go back.

Hey, guess what – NOBODY is defending booing.

      • kentishyid says:

Hey, guess what – I didn’t say they were. Just my opinion on the boo-boys.

You should have bolded up your Hey,guess what

And expanding on that opinion: We go to the game cos we love Spurs. We fork out the money, make the sometimes long trip up there and hope to enjoy the experience.
The boo-boys boo, have a shit time, go home muttering and grumbling to the wife, kick the dog and have a crap weekend.
What if, even if we played badly and lost, those boo-boys were in the middle of a few thousand SUPPORTERS, cheering and singing til the end. They’d go home somehow uplifted and say to the missus, yeah we were crap and we lost but the atmosphere was great and I sung my heart out, I actually really enjoyed it. The effect on the players would be positive and everything turns on its head. Just saying.

And saying it remarkably well, nicely said

        • LLL says:

Well, go to the game and try your best to get a sing-song going then. I just feel that it is a side-issue and a diversion. Nobody agrees with booing, but yet everyone wants to conflate booing with expressing disapproval with AVB’s tactics online. And also come out against booing, but there is literally nobody arguing for it.

Who ever attends on Thursday night, get behind the boys. Support AVB. Support our club. In AVB I trust.
