Harry Redknapp has been Tottenham’s most successful manager in recent memory. The now QPR boss guided the club to the League Cup and two top four finishes (albeit one didn’t gain Champions League qualification die to Chelsea winning the tournament) and since his exit, things haven’t been quite so successful.
‘Arry also moved Gareth Bale into an advanced position, which resulted in the Welshman becoming one of the world’s best players. It may be popular to get on his back because of his ‘geezer’ persona, but Redknapp was a great manager at White Hart Lane.
Will Spurs ever have “so good” – Redknapp claimed his time was the best some fans had witnessed – who knows? But, as things stand, such highs look a little way off.
