THAT Nani Goal Explained Very Simply…

The situation isn’t complicated.

Here’s a potted time line of is yet another nail in the coffin for those who tell us that video technology would destroy the game. These are the same people I presume who’s grandparents told us that the Titanic was unsinkable.

1.The whistle for an arguable penalty is not blown.

2.The whistle for Nani’s handball on the floor is not blown.

3.The linesman’s flag for the handball is raised.

4.Nani nips in and scores a perfectly legitimate goal.

5. On Nani’s birth certificate the box marked father’s name has the words, ‘some soldiers’, written in it.

So whilst on a morally evolved sliding scale (that ranges from plankton to human) Nani rates about the same as ‘stepping in dog poo whilst wearing new suede shoes on a very hot and sunny day’ …but the real question is what Clatternberg’s motivation was to discount the linesman.

Clatternberg is entitled to overule Nani’s handball. He is entitled to say he felt he had a clear view himself and that he saw no such offence. He is entitled to say that there are little green men living in his toupe who know all the words to ELO’s Blinded By The Light if he so chooses.

But that along with all his other ‘entitled opinions’ only serves to prove he, along with too many others are not fit/able to referee sufficiently well without assistance from someone sat in front of a TV screen with the benefit of 17 different camera angles, slo mo and rewind.

The law is an ass. And coincidence or not, it won’t sit well with Tottenham fans that this is the second comedy goal they have been made to suffer at the hands of an inadequate referee at Old Trafford.

The good news is that VDV looks like he might play tomorrow. Should make Harry’s life easier as he wont have to get up from his seat as much… to shout: ‘run around a bit, more’

FA will decide tomorrow whether to charge HR for comments made re ref after Saturdays game.
No mention of any action taken against Nani for repeated diving, handball, dissent, Ferdinand for gatecrashing match officials discussion re goal or Scholes for manhandling ref.
Seems Utd players cannot be carded at OT.

I couldn’t agree more; but are they gonna charge ‘Arry with, speaking the truth? :wassat:

      • DAVID says:

Interesting point. If charged, I hope HR fights it. What else could he say that it was a great decision, when it clearly was not ?
Is speaking the truth now an offence ?

Adrian Durham’s having a go at us on the radio. Some of you restless natives need to call him up and insult his mother.

like a few people have already stated, what annoys me most was that rio ugly twat was allowed to shout in his face while our players were turned away, but worse still our captain at the time who i beleieve could quite possibly be the most inoffensive player in the league (moddy) was trying to politely speak to him and got booked for it, i dont even think rio was captain either, i think that is a disgrace. also that little botox prick is getting worse then ronaldo for diving and whining the little prick hate him

  • Man United reduced to harrassing refs, diving, conning linesmen, cheap rule bending..I mean its really embarrassing to watch, especially if your a Tottenham supporter, whatever you say about the Spurs we certainly dont play football that way period!! Manu are desperately trying to reach the heights of yesteryear and are struggling badly.

I feel sorry for manu supporters who feel that winning that way is justifyable, me i would rather loose than hide behind that rubbish and call it football.
