Spurs & Bremen Both ‘Riddled’ With Gout

Werder Bremen announced today their list of players unfit to play in tonight’s fixture totals 11. In an exclusive interview earlier this morning with Thomas Schaaf the  Bremen coach I was told, ‘Zey are alles die ganze Zeit betrunken H, meine alte mate.’

‘Zer Füße areswollen und nutzlos.’ Tom went on,  ‘Ich bin eine bit kippered.’

This of course is a malaise not unique to those Sausage Side but here too in these once proud, Spectic Isles.

Arry Redschnapps announced that their was a question mark over Gareth Bale after a shoulder of Gordons Gin injury was picked up at the Emptycrates  and admitted Raphael Van Der Vaart is, ‘struggling’ with a half case of vintage Champagne.

The consequences of tonight’s game are straightforward enough. If Werder Bremen lose they exit the competition. If Spurs win then they will have qualified for the next round. Hurrah. The outcome of what other permutations lead to are beyond me.

Here’s some crazy bets to exaggerate that end of the month fiscal pinch when none of ’em come in! There’s a free £20 bet if you drop a tenner in the links, btw.

Pav didnt look too happy when he came off….hes a nice chap though…giving the pen up for Bale (Golden Ball perhaps?) and then consoling him

Yep, I was going to mention Gallas. Hats off to Redders he starting to look good now. Even the crowd were warming to him.

i missed the chant for big billy gallas. how dd it go?

That second half was almost boring in that, for once, we never, for one minute, looked like conceding.

I could get used to it. I’d keep what few dark hairs I have left a little longer too (the pubes are still going strong mind).

Redknapp truly has belief in this side, let’s hope Levy realises that this side is on the cusp and doesn’t ‘jew up’.

Shocking. Both the casual manner in which we won, and your pubic reference.

      We’re through. Now, some negatives.

Defoe. Greedy fuc<ing pr1ck again. Harry must have words. Sod the arm round the shoulder bit, this time.

      Baler pen. Dreadful.

Thank God we were coasting at the time. Though IMO the fact we were should not give Defoe carte blanche to take the shooting option above all others. Perhaps if he practiced stroking the ball to the free man (even if it is Crouch) instead of fudging countless attacking opportunities by electing to go it alone with a defender between him and goal etc., he would improve his poor shots to goals ratio, and help his/our team score more, win more. :pinch:

Last I checked the scoreboard does say Tottenham, not Defoe.

Sorry to all those who think I shouldn't find something to moan about. I am happy, honest! Just find Defoe's single-mindedness frustrating to watch, even at the best of times. :-D

Yeah he’s a bit like Hasselbank (sp.) in that respect, which tends to make him one dimensional and easy to read. I was impressed on the weekend though with that header…..how is the smallest man on the field able to outjump one of the tallest???

I’m hoping that all the set up play is done by DVD, Bale, Lennon etc. and he can just stick a foot out top put them away. I am really looking forward to some relief from that horrible Crouch smile when he wastes “another” chance and blames the Gods once again for his simple innaccuracy.

Great to be thru’ Twente might not be a pushover at home, but I reckon we can win the group if we stay focussed.

        • TMWNN says:

I’ve given up on beanpole as a ‘striker’, but I thought he played pretty well tonight. Bremen were awful, but we’ve cocked up against worse.

          Professional.

        Spoilsport!
