This was bizarrely revealed on Talksport yesterday afternoon and so my binge cleaning of the kitchen wasn’t all about the one euro and seven pence behind the fridge.
Modders was being scouted, amongst others by a chap by the name of Les Padfield. Les is a professional football scout and he was good stuff, chatting away about his life in football. He was plugging his book – Scouting For Moyes – when he made reference to the Modders snub.
It apparently came from Bolton after the Croatian had played against England. Les said, ‘I told them he had bossed it out there.’ The response was, ‘He’s not big enough.’
I much prefered the old format of this site. The one with the minimalist google couldnt open the webpage tagline on a crisp white background.
Sometimes you can try and be too clever and it just looks too messy.

Hi Guys, I’m going to Israel next year on pilgrimage and going to meet the Real Yiddos :-) Anyway, I’m going to be there when we go to Anfield on the 15 May. Is there any way I can watch that match over there. I don’t know if they show English soccer in Israel…Can somebody tell me???

I agree with your 80’s feel. This season has that feelgood about it. As for modric, is he any smaller than Ossie. He wasn’t to shabby you know.
