Bentley To Brum Beckham To Come

David Bentley’s having a medical.  Ang on, we’ve been here before…

Clearly the impending arrival of Sir David Of Beckham has triggered Levy & Co to give the green light for someone else to give the boy Bentley a go.

The Beckham signing will be a charm. No two ways about it. Unless he gets caught doing something despicable then Mickey Hazard’s replacement will be a runaway success. All the bleating about ‘the Beckham circus’ and supposed threat to the squad’s harmony will be proved to be the clucking of wet hens.

That Bentley off is a not a pity. He has failed to achieve all what was threatened. It remains a pity that he didn’t succeed but his ‘Friday morning injuries’ are no longer our concern.

If you hate itk’s look away now. And shut up after you do look. This posted by dragon1 who has a microphone under the boardroom table. I love it:
‘stratford def happening board completely in favour, costs diff btwn whl and there are staggering, olympic stadium will be bulldozed with what we had planned initially for whl built there, club think transport links and proximity to canary wharf make it hugely attractive.Becks deal all to with stratford his tie up with aeg and face of east london etc, harry fancied him but dl pushed the deal hard’ This may be common sense not itk, nevertheless suck on that N17ers. And congrats to the England cricket team. What do you call an Australian with a bottle of champagne? Waiter!

Stuff all this signing Saga candidates, where are the superstars we need to make the difference ?
Or are we going to wait until the last hour of the window before bringing in Frazier Campbell ?

I’m so pleased we’re getting Beckham four years too late.

    • david says:

      Only four ?
Must admit I have never been his biggest fan but in the interests of fairness, I tried to recall when I last saw him put in an outstanding, match changing performance.
I came up with England V Greece, which finshed 2-2 and when I looked at the match details, discovered it was played in 2001.
I see City have just signed Dzeko, whilst we are linked with Beckham and Neville.

Hmmm. I actually do recall seeing him perform with some panache for AC Milan, but I’ll also admit I am completely underwhelmed by this entire process.

    For eight weeks.

Always see plenty of critics whoever Harry signs but he has delivered for us and if he thinks Becks can do a job for us I am pleased that Levy has gone and got him.

Now that deal is sorted I hope we do not leave the strikers untouched like we did in the summer. Keane and dos Santos should be out the door to make way for whoever we can get asap. I am tired of seeing our great approach play wasted. You could replace them all with lads from Finsbury Park teams and they would do better.

    • MysteriousStranger says:

You mention “our great approach play”, and talk of strikers being shown the door. Yet you defend Harry’s signings – of which Keane was one, incidentally.

Your post seems to defend the presence of one Peter Crouch in our squad?

When it comes to great approach play, Crouch is certainly not a catlyst for this, and is not a great striker.

I’m just looking for your approval. Can we get rid of the LSOP? :cwy:

      I’m with you PL

I don’t see a single negative with Becks joining us. Those with short memories have obviously forgotten what Gudj brought to us last year; BELIEF. Which got us in the CL

shame others don’t appreciate Arrys greater knowledge of football than anyone who posts on here

as for DL pushing Arry to spend I guess he’s a Cnut too

    • AFelching says:

You’re talking out of you’re gizzard,a lot of ‘Arry’s signings have been pony at best

      • toddspur says:

where are we in the league?
where are we in the CL?
where did we finish last season in the PL?
where were we before Arry showed up?

cant wait for your response Felch, cant wait

        • MysteriousStranger says:

You should stick to talking about Labradors… :-D

£80k a week. 10 games max? Start him? Every game? Or will he also be used sparingly like Gudjohnsen?

          In ‘Arry blah blah :shocked2:
