Bentley To Brum Beckham To Come

David Bentley’s having a medical.  Ang on, we’ve been here before…

Clearly the impending arrival of Sir David Of Beckham has triggered Levy & Co to give the green light for someone else to give the boy Bentley a go.

The Beckham signing will be a charm. No two ways about it. Unless he gets caught doing something despicable then Mickey Hazard’s replacement will be a runaway success. All the bleating about ‘the Beckham circus’ and supposed threat to the squad’s harmony will be proved to be the clucking of wet hens.

That Bentley off is a not a pity. He has failed to achieve all what was threatened. It remains a pity that he didn’t succeed but his ‘Friday morning injuries’ are no longer our concern.

Taking the child-like logic that a past player can impart his finest attribute to another player a stage further, why not bring back Mackay to help out *****, or Gilzean for the beanpole, Greaves for the midget etc.?

Someone talking sense, unusual here, but im in full agreement, just what is this tosser actually going to add to us, apart from a fucking media circus, his missis is the worst kind of cunt, i hope her scabby ass stays away from the lane

As olden balls publicity visit is shorter than the pikey’s return trip to the bindippers, I think we may be spared the sight of his miserable runt of a missus.

Agreed. But I don’t think his wife would miss an photo-op.

why not?. all better than, sherwood ,ferdinand etc,

Having Clive Allen and Les Ferdinand at the club proves it doesn’t work like that.

Said it before and here it is again. Never believed that Crouch fitted in with our along the ground style of play, nor with that of the good, old fashioned centre forward I loved watching as a kid (for whom there is still a place in PL football). However, if ‘Arry persists with him (at Everton he nodded Hutton’s cross and boom! plus let’s not forget last year at Man City) then we can exploit his height plus the fact that he can at least pretty successfully lay off to either side, etc.

Are Mackay and Greaves fit, in the London area, and interested? Sure, I’d bring ’em in during summer preparation, etc. like a shot. That’s what seems to happen with cricket; and look where that’s got us this year!

Crouch cannot dine out on “that goal” for his entire Spurs career.

The bloke is awful. By even referencing “that goal” just serves as a painful reminder of all the other sh1t we have to endure by persisting with this clown.

Stalteri once scored a great goal for us to beat West Ham in the dying seconds. And I don’t ever want him back in a Spurs shirt. You get me? :daumen:

Was just trying to put myself in ‘Arry’s head.

I wince, too, when Crouch lumbers about, is just too late to connect with a cross/pass, just too awkward with a header, puts on that “smile” after missing another chance… Yet, why is it that he gets (anyway got) picked so frequently for England, that ‘Arry persists with him, especially in CL games, and so on?

If I trust ‘Arry’s judgement, then how consistent is it to howl about Crouch?

Though, I do. Most times I watch him in action…

    Come on dirty Leeds! :freu

Bring back Moussa Saib and O Leonhardsen! Those were the days..
Quite some lovely rubbish above here from you gents..I do however agree on Crouch, there’s not a single thing in which he stands out actually..no pace, no control, def no shooting, he always seems to be marked, he’s even bad at heading..etc etc..Also not a very clever boy, is he..?
    New striker please!

Walker just waltzed 30 yds thru Sheffield to score for Villa
