What can I tell you?

Arry made another interesting post match comment yesterday. Saying, ‘he wants to come’ in relation to the Boy Beckham. Of course he followed it up with a hasty, ‘but we haven’t err …discussed it with anyone. There’s been no contact.’ Bless ‘im.

You can see Sir David pictured in a Spurs kit as a child HERE if that’s your thing.

Word on the street is that Jonathan Woodgate is being loaned out in order to find his feet. Whoever hid his feet in the first place might want to take a long hard look at themselves. The first choice was Leeds, but yesterday John Cross of the Mirror on Talksport said he understood it would be Cardiff.

Here are MOTD highlights from yesterday. TTFN!

I think you’re all mad, (not Trotter, he’s always sane)the man finished, what are we going to do wheel him on in his bath chair to take a free kick. He’ll have no time on the ball; as he does in the Mickey Mouse League, and in the end he’ll cost us a game.

Individuals don’t cost games – Teams win and lose games collectively.

The Man as you call him has won more in the game than all of our squad and 3/4 of the Premier League combined… And that wasn’t in a Mickey Mouse league.

One of the biggest influences on us reaching the CL last season was the calm and belief that Gudjohnsen bought to the dressing room. This season, we could realistically be in the hunt for the last 8 of the CL and 2nd or 3rd in the PL. At that point, I’d rather have Becks taking all the media attention than a constant barrage of questions for Bale from ITV about ‘When is he going to move to Barcelona’.

Besides, he doesn’t need to play, he just needs to teach Lennon how to cross a ball.

Absolutely agree with toddspur and astronesmo. We have needed achievers in our squad for ages. We just have not had enough top top level winners around our squad. The benefit of having people like Gudjohnsen, Gallas, VdV and Beckham is that they have been in pressure situations, know how to handle it and come out as winners. As a club we have not had enough of that type of player since the EPL started up. Basically you need experience sprinkled in with our undoubtedly strong, talented yet still young squad. Remember that Daws, JD, AnE, Modders, Len, Pav, Bale, have won just one Carling Cup between them and to challenge for the EPL and more you need some experience. Also the Beckham deal is only 3 months and will not be the only deal we get in this window. DL and Harry know we need a striker and as and when we can get the right deal I am confident they will act. We are now in a postion to move this club into being strong challengers not just for this season but for the forseable future if we play our cards right. The Beckham loan deal is just but one more step forward but in the overall scheme of things it is one of many many more.

I so hope he goes to West Ham.

That’ll be their triple; Becks, The Olympic Stadium and relegation.

They’ll have never had it so good.

what about the deal in Spain?

Did anyone else notice Gallas pumping his fists when Bale scored? Check out the video, Billy G’s a Yid.

“The owner wants me to find someone to move us to another level if possible, but I don’t know where that player is.” -HR

So we are supposed to believe that our Harry the master of the transfer market is short of a target to improve the team? Yeah right. Not sure what the problem is but it is not that.

Only thing I can think of is that it sounds a bit like Wenger. The “I got a great transfer budget but just don’t want to spend it” guff. Will be interesting to see if after all the big bucks talk of the past few days we only end up spending pennies. Recent windows suggest a spending spree is highly unlikely whatever the spin coming out now. Time will tell.

yeah not impressed by his making the whole “beckham wants to come” public. I can’t see beckham, the galaxy or his advisors liking the story being bandied about in the press.
