Player Ratings – With Added Fluoxetine

Raking through the bones of that game would be as useful as getting a pathologist to examine some roadkill to see if the poor creature had diabetes prior to being run over.

West Ham didn’t squish us so much as relentlessly deny us. It would be churlish to just rant at the strikers. So I’ll have a pop at Arry first if I may. When the team you’re playing changes their strategy, it’s a good idea to rethink your own.

Redschnapps has spoken of hesitancy in the last transfer window. We saw it again today. Defoe was selfish again and again yet H was convinced there was a goal in him. Pav actually offered a touch of 18 yard box creativity but was brought on too late.

West Ham put as many men as they could behind the ball yet we had neither the wit or the imagination to change our plan. Bale drew a minimum of two men every time he got the ball – can anyone recall a decent cross in from him? Wayne Bridge muffled Azza Blud also. But still we ploughed on making no gain from bossing the midfield.

Charlie gave the ball away or made a fist of his possession on virtually every single occasion he had the damn thing in the first half. Again, this was allowed to carry on and on and on.

On this showing Real Madrid must be bricking it.

Gomes 7 Didn’t do much, did it well
A&E 7 Mostly very assured
Charlie 4 Slow & clumsy
Gallas 4 What was with the endless back-passes?
Dawson 6 Sensational. For the first 20 minutes
Sandro 7.39 Triffic
Modric 8 Our Champions League class player
Azza Blud 6 Bar the shot failed to make a difference
Bale 7.92 Intelligent and committed
VDV 6.57 Fit?
Defoe 4 For Sale with any luck
Pav 6.56 Tried
Begbie 6 Should be an 8 – twice as good as Charlie
Chris Coleman – Britain’s Most Stupid Human
Redschnapps – Not to be confused with Mourinho

Van der Vaart came to play in the Champions league at the last minute . He will be off just like Bale has just signed a four year contract he will be gone just like Carrol he signed a five year contract. This team will get us back on track or i will stop my energey abuse rant and Kiss Harry Hotspurs polished boots Gomes Kaboul Dawson Gallas Bale Lennon Sandro Huddleston Modric Defoe Crouch this would be my home team Kaboul Dawson Gallas Bale Lennon Van Huddlestone Modric Crouch Defoe . Any football fan knows if you have your strikers in and out week in and out you will lose all of them and Harry has lost the strikers by changing them in every game by either subbing or benching all of them every week . Can any fan tell me how many games has Defoe played with the same team and how many times has Harry subbed a striker for a striker instead of a full back or midfielder Bale could have gone left back and Crouch come on and then Van off and Pav on the problem is Harry does not trust our defence enough.

Whats with all the full stops?

I agree with DAVspurs contracts meaning nothing. Like having a contract with a racehorse.

Not the owner, not the trainer, the horse itself. If the fecker wakes up one morning and simply doesn’t fancy it, you’re stuffed.

That T shirt of Defoe is increasingly winding me up. I may have to nip out and buy a cat in order to kick it. What an idiot.

Do you think Redknapp knew beforehand he was wearing it? What do you think he thinks – now that he certainly is aware of it?

Absolute joke behaviour from this individual

was pondering this earlier…i guess ickle Jermaine gets special privileges from uncle ‘arry. Someone with half a brain should have taken him aside and given a brief run through of why its a bad idea, someone like…erm..hmm..

but yea, short-sightedness at its worst.

Modric is player of the season, no sweat.
Bale or Ronaldo. Gareth every time. Probably everyone’s Player Of The Year.

Plenty of beautiful football today. Corluka can actually deliver a ball and should do it more, when he doesn’t see AL movement.

Can’t know if VdV’s input is fitness or worse.
Hugely gifted but pressing/tackling.. it doesn’t happen. In Barca, every player at the enemy’s heels like Bolt. Either way, Defoe ain’t the man to flourish in the system employed for 75 minutes. Deserved 90 after Wolves but in a game this important, with this system,, Bale & Lennon flanks,, odd not to see Crouch.

Yeah,, got back and had to walk the daughters round Ally Pally.. too long thinking, not enough drinking.

    COYS.

As he has performed until now Modric isn’t the player who with his individual performance will have a crucial impact in MOST games of his team (the definition of a great player) or who will take the team on his shoulders in a number of games when most of the other players will be failing. He doesn’t have the impact that have or had on their team players like Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Fabregas, Essien, Kaka, Iniesta, Sneijder, Stankovic, Miller, Totti, Cahil or even Parker just to mention some other players playing in a similar position. This is my personal opinion about him. Generally talking the level of the individual players of a team determines the level of the team itself. Accordingly are the results of that team. Every team can play above its level for a number of games but not in most of them. All our strikers are performing below the expected level. This has serious consequences on the team. In the January window Spurs should buy, after a proper scouting work, one at least scoring striker (and I don’t mean those expensive players who were associated with Spurs during that transfer period, but players who could cost between 8-12 mm like Hernandez of MU but also others).

    Mine as follow:

Gomes – 7 Didn’t do much, yet few fine saves
    A&E – 7 Cool and very composed
Charlie – 4 He has lost it, lack confidence
Gallas – 6 But not match fit
Dawson – 6 Did OK, but lots of wasteful clearence.
Sandro – 7.5 A tough wall at mid park and covers the backline well too, but need to improve on his passes
Modric – 8 The team should be built around him, not VDV
Azza Blud – 6 Teriffic shot only for Defoe to waste it. More of that in coming matches pls(forget Defoe, he’s not going to score).
Bale – 7.5 Hardworking as usual but being well read by the opponents…too staright forward.
VDV – 5.5 Didn’t link well with Defoe. Always try to prove something on his own and today he sulks.
Defoe – 2.5 Missed at least 3 sitters!! England striker??? Where’s Sandra??
Pav – 7 Changed the tempo of the game, should have started much earlier
Begbie – 6 Should’ve started the game, Azza plays better with him at the back.
The Ref – 4 inconsistent, too many flaws
Redknapp – 5 Was he napping in the first 70 minutes??

    • Harry Hotspur says:

      Nice work, sir.

      • aqaljuta says:

To add on on VDV. The reason he “mumbles” all the way out:
        1. He feels he had help created so many chances yet the goals are not coming.
        2. He didn’t get to score
        3. He got substituted before he gets to score.
