Personally think this may have been cooked up by Gooners who want to destabilise us during the transfer window. With a small market like this it only takes 2 or 3 x £100 bets to make a massive difference.It didn’t stop Talksport resident plonker Adrian Durham speculating that Bale and Modric would follow. Clearly he’s forgotten that when Arnesen went, there was a deal put in place that Chelski couldn’t approach our players for 2 years. When you listen to Durham you don’t know whether to laugh or cry!
Errr, I think the deal you mentioned was in 2005… Which would mean that it was over by 2007… Plus Arnesen isn’t there any more!?

Whether or not you believe the speculation, I sincerely hope that Levy has a contingency plan lined up.
Lets face it, he is almost certain to go in the next 12 months to one of: Chelsea, HMP or England and even if he doesnt, how many more years will he be wanting to drag himself all the way up from Bournemouth every day at his age?
The way I see it, he can stop this speculation instantly by saying: I am not interested in Chelsea, I am happy here (not ‘there’). Until he does so, rumour will be rife and he is destabilising us and making it harder to sign players.
His statements have been pretty equivocal/vague – maybe he wants to put pressure on Levy for signings and to prove our ambition, or just wants a pay rise.
If he does go, all these digs at our fans over the last few weeks and comments about our inability to compete/good as it gets may have been paving the way/getting his excuses in.
If I were Levy, I would have already spoken to him and demanded some straight answers about his plans.
Oh the entertainment, it’s like being back at the school playing fields watching as two kids wind each other up till punches fly… With us the bating crowd blood thirsty for battle. We can’t help it we know it’s wrong.

No doubt he will want to take his favourites….as he does. He will have knowledge of SPurs players contracts etc.
I would hope that if he does go, thenLevy will say…”sure Chelsea, he’s yours for a few million, but you cannot buy any of our players for 2 years unless we offer them to you”
Its also the continuity. Footballers need to excuse to feel unsettled etc. Some could easily say they are gutted by his departure and want to go.
Overall I want him to stay, for continuity. I don’t think it will be a disaster if he goes, but so long as we get a quality manager and can keep the key players

Chelsea or rather Abramovic has won everything but the Champions League..thats Abramovic’s Holy Grail.
He will recruit a manger who has the CV of a proven winner and harry is not that yet, bless his heart.
Harry should and will take his OWN advice to the players when asked will his best players leave he said “They dident have champions league football when I came here, so why should they leave?”

Its clear to everybody that the potential at our club is close to being realised, the infrastructure and facilities have improved.
They will add to an already impressive squad. If i was a manager i would cherish the challenge at Tottenham far more than the one at Chelsea, which in my mind is a poison chalice…
