We need to let sick note go and cash in while we can but my gut feeling is he wont pass a medical. There is alarming signes of a serious injury developing with young Bale this happen to me at 16 19 and finally 23 it was all over the back went and Bale looks to be heading the same way sadly. Before his Ankle injury he was not coping with any tough tackles and he crumbled in a heap this was how my back started i was great with the ball at my feet but when i got hit from behind it hurt like mad and scans don’t show this disease in its early stages another player who looks like he has this is Woodgate. The fact Harry said there was nothing much on the scan with Bale and he said Crouchs back was worse also indicates something is badly wrong so we should sell before he ends up like Anderton. Modric has bean a disapoinment this year and i belive he was one of the reasons we have struggled to score more goals ,yes he is a great player but without Hudds alongside to give the long Killer passes he loses the ball a lot if teaks press him and also he waste golden chances that other strikers would have scored Huddlestone can shoot yet he will pass to our strikers and if you look at our stats you will be amased how many games we have won without Bale Van and Modric not playing would amaze our fans. These three not playing have a bigger impact on us not winning Lennon Huddlestone King than Van Mod Bale the work Lennon King Hudds do in 90 plus mins his why we win when all three are fit to play Hudds saves energy by hitting balls all over the pitch. He also keeps the ball moving with simple and hard passes King helps keepers with his outstanding cover tackles he gives the other defenders confidants like Dawson and the rest. Lennon can change defence into attack with speedand he also tracks back and helps his defender out. This is why we have failed to win the fourteen games we drawn i have not looked yet but i will and i bet all three never played through injury or n. So my sadness if we lost all three of these players Van Bale Modric would be offset if we kept these players Hudds Lennon King and yes Defoe and Crouch. These players will be the next players to move up Rose Townsend Bostock Kane Walker Caulker next season three of these will be in the first team squad and more if Harry stops trying to buy fourth . He improved the squad with Pienaar and Van and Bongani and we failed because he upset the balance and injurys did the rest he was unlucky on both counts. Tug boat Tommy isn’t the answer in a 4-4-2. It leaves us far too vulnerable. When we play 4-4-2, it has to be Modric and Sandro. Playing most matches without a DM (Tom isn’t one) is too much of a gamble. He is plain dozy.
I think there is room for Huddlestone in a 5 man midfield alongside Sandro, but guess what? We need a lone striker to make it work.
If we had to sell either Huddlestone or Sandro, I wouldn’t think twice about keeping Sandro.
Hudds is very much needed against teams that come to WHL to defend. Against stronger opposition and away from home Sandro should play, sometimes at the expense of Modric (away against physical teams).
For me, if Modric is fit, he starts against anyone.
