As you were.

Guillem Ballague’s a wag. Which I mean in the traditional sense, rather than in any way implying he uses skimpy designer frocks and exotic hairdoos to entice professional footballers to knob him.

A few interesting Tweets.

When Harry Redknapp talks about huge signings for Manchester City he is talking about a potential £30m offer for Gareth Bale.

And…

In the last few hours it seems Spurs favourites to land Osvaldo. But Fulham, at Madrid, Sevilla, Everton also interested amongst many others.

And…

Benzema has told Real Madrid he doesn’t want to leave the club this summer

I have time for Guillem if only for the fact that he received dogs abuse from Scousers when he was the first to break that Torres was off. Whining because you can’t cope with information tendered in good faith is for suckers.

I would be quite happy to see Defoe sold in the summer. I think he has run his course with the club as per PSB. He is struggling to score goals when he does play, not imposing enough because of his size, is incredibly selfish in his link up play and does not work well with VDV. Hence the deployment of the comedy striker that is Crouch. The dilema is that ‘Arry will probably not try and sell all four first team strikers this summer as he will want some kind of continuity between this season and next. I am sure he must regret his decision not to buy back in the last transfer window despite the inflated prices. I hope he looks to snap up a ‘Wickham’ style young striker (but not at his price) to fill the 4th striker berth. A complete new forward line, new goal keeper, Scott Parker and keep Woody on a Pay As You Play deal please!

Bit of a shout but I honestly don’t see Modric, VDV, Lennon or Bale (not this year) leaving in the summer.

It’s evident we need a keeper (would love the Dutch guy Stekelenburg or would also more realistically take Foster)

Bring Walker back in at right back (still think he could have made a difference second half of the season)

Get Cahill in at centre half with it apparent Woody and Ledders will not be around much if at all. would compete with big Willy and Kaboul to partner Daws.

Need 2 strikers with 2 being sold – either Drogba or Adebayor as I agree with earlier comment about muscle and power being needed with them both proven goalscorers. I would also snap up Borini from Chelsea as his contract ends this summer – I know he has had little experience but this guy is a natural! He will be a hit in the premier league next year!

I think there’s a little unrequited man-love going on here… Or you need to get out more… Or both.

well Utd will want Bale and Modric and City will want anyone and are the only club that could afford both,

Bale would cost 50m,we are Tottenham not some part time shit,i’d make sure a player like johnson was in the deal if we were forced into it,Modric is our best player lets hope he likes us as much as we like him

the media say defoe wants out and vdv wants in and bale is 30m,who knows but bale for 30m what a joke oh and milan think flamini is a good swap for sandy, lol

l think our best line up is big tom behind sandy and modders two widemen and a proper centrre forward

if i was a CM like parker i know i wouldn’t be first choice at spurs

But what if Modric was injured – wouldn’t Parker be nice to throw in. As much as I love Modric he has sometimes struggled at places like Wolves and WBA – these foreign technigues doesn’t understand how brutal a game can be played at these places – but Parker does – he plays like them only with more technique
