Got to say i agree with him just look at the player’s we have been linked with in the press there rubbish from relegated teams bar scott parker,.Green,foster,dann.johnson,adam none of these players are better than what we got already whats the point in selling niko and co and buy lesser players just hope like the majority of the time that the press are wrong this shows a lack of ambition if these players are signed.We need quality and all harry wants is bargain basement buy’s it shows alot about the man we need international class not championship class.I dont have a problem with harry’s football its good to watch(APART FROM THE 50 LONG BALLS TO CROUCH A GAME) but his offield comments make us look like a small team always moaning about not being able to compete with the top four we dont need to go mad just sign us one decent striker who can score more than 20 goals in the league an achievement none of our strikers have done once in their career’s.We will be left behind if we dont improve our squad with quality this summer then the little man modric will be off next year
You seem to be blaming Harry for players that we are “linked to”. Despite you clearly know that 99% of these links are complete hogwash. Also you seem to think it is easy to find a striker that can score over 20 goals in a season – despite NOT ONE PLAYER scored more that 20 this season… We did have joint 6th best scorer in VDV however, playing mostly in a similar role to Rooney.
Im not blaming him entirely but since last summer some of these players at some point have earned praise from harry, i personally want to shop at harrod’s not happy shopper! and everybody cant deny the fact he likes a bargain and these player’s are budget full stop.As for the 20 goal striker maybe i was asking for too much but there are at least 10 strikers across europe that are better than crouch,keane,defoe,pav all we need is one and a good young talented striker and keep two of the above but according to harrys comments there isn’t any better out there that we can afford,and that is not correct if you need help locating these player’s please feel free to give me a call!..
As for Johnson himself, you have to question a) Whether he can do it without his sidekick Dann. Is it you or him that is good? Both or neither? b) Why did he spend his whole career in lower leagues? Late bloomer? Bad luck? Good luck? As for me, I think he definitely has the character, but I haven’t seen enough of him to judge. My biggest concern is that we need a long term replacement for King & Woody, and Johnson is nearly as old as they are. At least he is generally fit, but is he in his prime? Or past his peak?
Well said Harry H this is exactly why i have bored you lot to death about energised Kolo Toures. We end up buying these players fo millions and then they turn back into fuckincinderrela players after a few months. These ae some of our buys from teams playing above there normal gear, Bentley 16 Blackburn Palacios Wigan 12 Bassong Newcastle 8 all of them are not playing in the first team 36 million of waste we will be lucky to get half of that back. We bought Lennon 2 million Hudds 2 million Bale we paid 5 millon Sandro 8 Dawson 4 million All these where kids when we bought them and where not used to losing like Bentley Bassong Palacios the moral to this tale don’t buy players from a losing team or you could be buying another Toure enhanced Cinderella player Johnson is 28 and used to losing. We have young Caulker he is a far better gifted player aged 19 give him a chance HARRY and we could have another late bloomer like Rose and dare i say it Forest bound Bale.
