Spurs Supremo Issues Suicide Threat

I’ve no doubt that Arry takes this job seriously, I just wish he’d engage his brain before sharing his East End homespun witless wisdom with us. “I’m going to go and commit suicide, it’s so sad…”

Nobody likes being patronised yet this clown manages to have a swipe at the good and learned folk that pay his wages virtually every time he gives a postmatch quote.

The shoulder shrugging needs to go. The ‘What can I do?’ needs to go. Stop fannying us about and get rid of those not up to the task and replace them with those that are. What top end managers persevere with under performers? Name an example to me?

He talks to us like he’s the West Ham manager and we’re West Ham fans . Despite this good works, unless he demonstrates some minerals and intent – trust me – this scenario can be swiftly made real.

8 A pretty damn fine performance. A stellar save and very much in the same vein of form as when we bought him. More please, Carlo.

5 Simply too inconsistent for me to be first choice right back, but then his competitor for the place is the rock star Begbie. Too slow, too predictable.

7 Another decent performance apart from the insane challenge that nearly resulted in a penalty and me hitting a high note Freddie Mercury would have been proud of.

7.9 His header off the line was another reason to vote ‘Billy’ in the forthcoming elections. He’s a soldier, he’s a man, he’s a chieftan, he’s a… repeat ’til fade.

6.9 I like this guy  lot. He’s made of the right stuff and wants to move up the pitch every time he’s involved in play.I like that.

8 Much more like it, unfortunately he had no one any good to pass to when he got there. Like Modders he badly needs some quality around him.

9 Wonderous. People use the phrase, ‘He put a shift in’ and Sandro epitomises Bill Nick’s words about coming off the pitch having given it all. Credit to the firm.

9 The absolute manic depressive in me can’t see him staying. I actually think if he went, it would hurt me more than any splitter that came before him.

5.7 Difficult to be critical when you know how much class this guy has, but sometimes he looks like a a tubby burn – out. My fear is that you rest him and you let in Jenas…

5.9 Really enjoy the Sarge and Sandro on the pitch together. He was fighting fires last night. Those Manchester City boys have been going down the gym.

-1 Father, lover, imbecile.

2 Impact sub my bottom.

6 I’ll be honest I don’t know why we bought him. But he was at them last night and credit where it’s due. Not Champions League class and that is where we should be shopping.

More disinformation that a bad line to an outsourced overseas call centre. Arry needs to stop whining and get spending. Crouch is poo. Defoe has become poo. Bring in Scotty Parker, see if I care, but stop mucking about and land two decent strikers.

If Redknapp tops himself I guess it’d be a case of ‘Arry Kari.

  • luke says:

Patronising and a verbal game player for his own sake.

Overachieved himself not the team, who are quite clearly capable of much greater success. You put Avram Grant in to a top side like Chelsea and of course you are going to be successful. Most average managers can, but the very best will go that extra yard and win you things with very good teams. Arry i am afraid is of the former group.

I would’t change redknapp until he goes to England,

I wouldn’t want o’neil or any of the other names that are always heard

Does the porto manager everyone loves even speak english

I have a feeling we will give gus poyet a go in a few years if he continues to do well,

Boas’s nan was English and he speaks fluent English… plus his record at Porto speaks for itself…
In his first season as coach, Villas Boas set the following records:

The club record for the most matches across all competitions unbeaten (36). This record was previously held by José Mourinho at 33 matches.[8] Part of this streak was completed by the previous coach of FC Porto, Jesualdo Ferreira.
The most wins in Europe in one season by a Portuguese club (13)[9]
The most points in a 30-game Portuguese league season (80)
The highest number of consecutive wins in the Portuguese league (16)
The biggest margin over the second placed team in the league (21)[10]
On 3 April 2011, Villas Boas won his first Primeira Liga, five rounds before the end, by defeating second-place Benfica 2–1 away at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon[11], becoming the third youngest coach to win it, only behind Mihály Sistka (1938–39) and Juca (1961–62). It is the second time that Porto won the Portuguese league by beating its rival at its home soil, the first time being 71 years ago, in the 1939–40 season when Porto clinched the title by defeating Benfica at the Estádio das Amoreiras.

      and he’s only 33

      • kojac says:

well thats good then,he can communicate,

i know he has a good record and he defo has a winner mentality, personally if i was levy i’d take a chance on him as finding a winner is hard and i think most managers could take us to 6th with our current squad

age has nothing to do with a good manager though imo

        • Superspurs says:

Exactly… age is but a number

Football has changed a hell of a lot in the last 5 years alone and Redknapps formations and ideas are fast becoming prehistoric.

Yeah Boas ago, young and fresh with exciting attacking ideas!

        • baker says:

It all sounds really good but it frightens me that he has so little experience, Ramos had a great record AND was experienced and look how that turned out.

Big gamble to go with Boas.

        • kojac says:

          its always a gamble

and you can only go on results and style of play, the biggest trick is getting in there before someone else does,

      • Superspurs says:

Yeah but people took a gamble on Mourino…

  • luke says:

agreed who do you replace him with???
not sure but heard several local enlightened and trusted spurs fans mention Moyes Why?? What is it I am not seeing about this man. Do know he was once mentioned on several occasions as Fergies successor. I think Gus will not forgive us for the way he was removed from his post. MAurino – crap football, another cheeky sod but at least he is a winner. Gave Tottenham a lot of kind words during their Real matches, or am I now really reading too much into it, also Talk sport claim he doesnot want the manu job and he still Loves London.

Levy does not mess around, Hoddle and Jol got the chop both quite aggressively would not be surprised if he he belives the limits been reached by Arry.

    • kojac says:

well moyes hasn’t had a chance with money like the current top 6,but yeah who knows moyes teams don’t give up though,

mourinho is a winner, which is the most important thing along with the style of football as in playing passing attacking football, only my opnion though

wait til fergie snuffs it man utd aren’t guaranteed anything cause fergie is a winner,of course it helps being utd in these prem days

anyway unless mourinho wants to come stick with sloppychops and hope Levy picks a winner in 2012

    • SpurredoninDublin says:

I think Hoddle deserved the sack, but not so with MJ. I recall that when he signed as manager, his ambition for Spurs was “Top six in three years”

  • luke says:

not sure arry is in the running for the England job now, its not only Spurs fans that have noticed his faults you know

    • Superspurs says:

I would imagine Stuart Pearce will be the 1st name on the list to replace Crapello if we do well in the U21 tournament this summer

    • kojac says:

but its good for england,he is english for one can handle the very annoying, negative idiotic english media and play a simple and enjoyable style which is needed

tournaments are only 6 games just go and attack english style,so what if you lose aslong as you gave it a go,we worry about negatives too much internationally when we should just get on with it,we will attack you and score and see who ends up the winner thats the english way
