Can everybody please stop jumping out of windows. With of course the possible exception of those in bungalows just having a few larks. But make sure it’s supervised. Flowerbed edging can twist an ankle in the blink of an eye.

The threat of Spurs signing Liverpool’s Joe Cole has cast a shadow over North London and incited street parties in Merseyside.

This just in from a poster calling himself The Godfather on the message board FTL. ‘Just had it confirmed from his agent David Geiss that we have NO interest in his client. Infact, he went as far as saying that there is currently no concrete interest in him.’

David Geiss is indeed the Chromosome Kids’ agent. So this at least lends credence to it. I had a fish supper in a pub on Chiswick High Road once called the Codfather and that was textbook.

Pity that Redschnapp’s stock is so low with supporters that despite all his achievements nobody put it past him to ship in a waste of space like Cole…

Over to you Arry.

As for Joe Cole, if we get him and he finds some of his old form he may not be such a bad buy. Would he be any worse than Pin Head?

Cole is backup, he will only sign if Modric leaves. Taken off of COYS, that should cheer you all up :finn:

Jamie and his magic torch have gone to Wolves

I don’t think Harry has got as much out of this squad that perhaps another manager could. Agreed, we have been the best we have for 20 years, but how much is that down to Harry and how much is down to this by FAR our best squad for 20 years?

Joe Cole is NOT A REPLACEMENT for Luka Modric. He will never be that player people believe he was while at Wet Spam. There is no player in the league quite like Modric.

    WTF!?!

Why would Spurs be interested in Joe Cole? There is talent in the side that is better than him. Where would he play and over whom?

So ‘Arry is willing to allow Kranjcar to leave, yet wants to bring in a player who is pretty much similar in style but worse? This stinks or retardation and favouritism. In Kranjcar Spurs already have a better player, a younger player. So Kranjcar will be permitted to leave and his replacement is a now injury prone player who has been poor for the past two seasons? Joe Cole is not worth the effort to break the bank, not even close. Not worth £90k per, and not worth the transfer fee. £3 million for one-season with Liverpool to which he has cost £4.1 million in wages? This makes no sense.

This really has no upside, which surely Daniel Levy is looking at.

Kranky wants to go, that is totally different than us letting him go. Cole will not brea the bak or cost £90,000 a week, they are his Liverpool wages not what we will be paying him.

One thing Harry is renown for is taking an older player like Gallas and getting them to play to the top of their game again. If he achieves that with Joe Cole he will prove to be a good signing.

Personally I think he would understudy Van Der Vaart and provide cover for Lennon as well as the left flank.

Clearly he will be part of a squad, not everyone you sign has to be a certain starter, you can only have 11 of those you know.
