Can everybody please stop jumping out of windows. With of course the possible exception of those in bungalows just having a few larks. But make sure it’s supervised. Flowerbed edging can twist an ankle in the blink of an eye.

The threat of Spurs signing Liverpool’s Joe Cole has cast a shadow over North London and incited street parties in Merseyside.

This just in from a poster calling himself The Godfather on the message board FTL. ‘Just had it confirmed from his agent David Geiss that we have NO interest in his client. Infact, he went as far as saying that there is currently no concrete interest in him.’

David Geiss is indeed the Chromosome Kids’ agent. So this at least lends credence to it. I had a fish supper in a pub on Chiswick High Road once called the Codfather and that was textbook.

Pity that Redschnapp’s stock is so low with supporters that despite all his achievements nobody put it past him to ship in a waste of space like Cole…

Over to you Arry.

I sincerely hope that what J.cole’s Agent is saying is the truth.AQs a qyuiruing him would point us going in a backward step. After making such progress in recent season’s.There are plenty of other players out there of far better qaulity.and would improve our squad.# mil might be cheap, but even that seems excessive on his current form. Please Harry onwards and upwards, leave Cole where he is.

Harry H I told you why we dropped so many points but you choose to ignore me i may not be one of you favs but trust me i tell the truth. You should go back and look at the states and games we lost or drawn and you will find we dominated the percentage of the game yet failed to break down energised defences. There was two high profile players who have failed test one a keeper and one a centre half in all our shocks the keepers played way above there normal form. i say this is because we could get rid of players and a Manager Whose season was blighted by energy cheats and that could cost us points this is ot just happened under Harry both Jol and Ramos had the same losses against teams who where bottom West Bromm where bottom and lost there last eleven we lost 2-0 and the player who scored the winner was all over the News of The World a few weeks later buying 500 pounds worth of drugs.Jol lost is job i was then ringing talk sport trying to ell them why we was struggling against struggling teams i failed . Then we was bottom sucked into a battle to stay up Ramos was starving our players on the professors baby food supplement, while the rest of them was using pure energy he also got sacked. This is how far back i have to go to warn you why we cant beat teams struggling so forgive me if i bore you with the same rant but i have only gone internet for the last two seasons. Harry is not perfect and just like other Managers he makes mistakes but the biggest mistake he made was attacking these teams while leaving his weakened back line to energised counter attacks and once these teams scored you had a difficult task to break down there energised defending . These things also hampered Harry and Spurs season. The signing of Van and 441 Huddlestone and Kings long absent’s Bales bad back Gomes gaffs, the long relegation battle with more than ten teams involved. We won 16 drawn 14 and lost eight and because of what i no this was a great season that only turned sour in the last few weeks by desperate teams trying to stay up and a even more desperate team wanting our champions league place and the title. They was Man City and Chelsea who wanted the title all conspired with five points changing hands by assistants flags. Verdict our strikers are showing with the right Tempo better testing they can score goals whether its with us or against us this transfer window could come back to haunt us badly. Joe Cole would be a wrong signing and would mean we would be a pantomime team full of the seven dwarfs who will be snow white

I’m with ya, there is more to our “beautifull game” than the 5 senses can detect.

Joe cole is a decent player. As long as he is replacing one of our squad players (Jenas/Palacious [sadly it seems inevitably Krancjar] /Piennar) then i am fine with it – its an improvement. If he is earmarked to replace Modders as some reports have suggested i will throw myself off the nearest cliff

  • Devonshirespur says:

If Modric left, to a competitor, and was replaced by Cole, I would seriously consider handing my season ticket back!

I am not a glory hunter, its not about success per se (although the more successful we are the more likely we keep our players) its about the football club showing a commitment to progressing the club. It is utterly pointless to sell our best players as Levy should have learned by now. Cash in the hand is no good, and who is out there to replace Modric…certainly not Joe Cole who has never been trusted by any manager at the top level to hold down that crucial position in CM.

Zokora for Carrick, Pavlyuchenko for Berbatov both massive steps backwards, although in those instances I recognise that their contractual circumstances made it hard to resist any offer.

The Club love to talk big about our history, our current status, our fan base, our aspirations……they really need to back up the big talk with big actions!
