Tell Chelsea if they love Modders so much they can have him, all they have to do is pay for a new 60,000 seater stadium for us, if not then just fuck off, but report Chelski to the F.A anyway for tapping him up. I vote to ‘bench him’, but in practical terms that could be damaging to the squad’s morale.
Modric can go, but not in this window and not to Chelsea. I think a loan, ideally to a non-EPL Champions League team, would now be the best outcome in the short-term.

By holding on to him, we show players like Bale and VdV that we’re not a selling club any more.
However, if, for instance, Inter, Real, Bayern etc. come in for him and offer a decent value, then off he trots.
Sell him…do it fast and let us avoid another Berbatov incident.
But as i suspect there will be no contingency plan for replacing him, and while our competitors get stronger, we underpay our stars (Modric 45,000 per week whilst we pay ledley ‘Once a fortnight’ King 65,000 per week) and fail to expand our squad sufficiently.
