Bonsoir. That is your actual… okay I’ll just get on with it. Tempers are  understandably fraying by the hour. If not by the bleedin’ minute.

It’s pretty bloody clear that this guy is shaping up to be the last guy we take to our hearts. Unassuming, diligent all that jazz but in the final analysis he was a wrong’en.

But do not let me lead you to your decision. I believe this poll to be true and fair. As will be the flaming envelope of dog poo I intend to have left on Modders’ doorstep once I get his address.

Vote. Get it off your chests. I would.

Enough money to buy a couple of very good players to replace someone who doesnt want to be here and we probably will never feel the same about – a player who, whilst he looks great on the ball is nowhere near as effective as Fabregas, Nasri, Gerrard (at his best) or even (based on goals) Adam.

Yes, he keeps the ball well and is the lynchpin of our system but our system can adapt with different players as it did when he was missing with a broken leg/foot. Personally, I’d be interested to see VDV in CM as he doesnt want to stay in a striking position.

Alternatively, stick to our guns – its up to Levy and depends on who we can line up to replace him – not necessarily a similar player.

The one thing I dont think we can afford to do is keep the same manager – a manger who in my opinion is a cancer at our club with his continued negativity, praise for other clubs and their players, statements that we cant compete, etc.

He is the one who is supposed to set the direction/tone and inspire our players – not continually disassociate himself from the club and make excuses.

Just hope that it does not drag on and on as it severely hampers any transfer business we are trying to do. If Lucre RichMod aka NOTELVISCOSTELLO (as he does want to go to Chelsea)wants out then it has to be on our terms… ie he puts in a formal transfer request and the fee must suit us. That is what being under contract means for goodness sake. Until both those terms are met then he stays and gets on with it, even if that means he is benched. The problem is that the continuing uncertainty, negativity and corrosive effect his behaviour has unsettles the whole club and side tracks our efforts to strengthen. We badly need 2 new forwards, a replacement for him and a centre back and we need the usual dead wood moved out.

HOW DARE HE DRAG THE GOOD NAME OF OUR CLUB THROUGH THE DIRT LIKE THIS. WE HAVE HAD, STILL HAVE AND WILL GET MUCH BETTER PLAYERS THAN HIM. NO PLAYER IS BIGGER THAN OUR CLUB. HE IS GOOD BUT NOT THAT GOOD….. THIS IS TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR WE ARE TALKING ABOUT !!!!!

It is true that `you should always be wary of the quiet ones`. Who would have thought it could get so ugly. But then again it does involve Chelsea who have previuos in the tapping up stakes and they should be reported to the FA again and properly punished for it.

I reckon DL is well up for the challenge but just hope it does not go right down to the wire so that we are unable to get our transfer business done quickly enough. In case anyone had forgotten we have a very tough start to the season and I just hope this whole saga does not leave us scrambling around at the last minute trying to settle the squad down and get on with actually winning matches.

    £40m cash on delivery.

BUT we must have a replacement lined up…fee agreed, ready to rock, just sign on the dotted line.

That way we will not be made to over pay for our preferred replacement.

  • Devonshirespur says:

we underpay our stars (Modric 45,000 per week whilst we pay ledley ‘Once a fortnight’ King 65,000 per week) and fail to expand our squad sufficiently.

The mantle has been set: No champions league football + low wages = midtable mediocrity.

    – – – – – –

We have the biggest squad in the league. In fact we have 30 players in a squad of 25.

Our squad has expanded too far, we just need to trim the waste and enhance the quality. Surely you can see that there is no point buying until the likes of Keane, Bentley, Hutton, GDS, Palacios are off the books otherwise we might end up going in to a season with 33 players, 8 of which cannot be registered…potentially £300-£400k a week in wasted wages.

Modric is on a cool £2m a year. Add on his endorsements and bonuses and I am sure he lives a very comfortable life. Playing footy, for half a day before kicking back in the afternoon.

Low wages, just think for a while about what you have just written, now give yourself a slap behind your knee

  • Spurfect says:

The only way I could see us coming out on top of this with a true replacement is to set out to spend big on some top players starting with getting Sneider, preferably in a exchange deal for Modric. Gets him out the country and a BETTER replacement in. Im sure Rafa could convince him this is the place to play. Worth trying for at least!

    • Devonshirespur says:

Your dreaming there Spurfect….but we do need to have a replacement lined up rather than going into the market with £40m burning a hole in our pocket as others will look to take advantage and over charge.
