Good morning,

Being a Tottenham fan these days is like having some mad disease. You’re viewing everything at time lapse photography speed, everything that surrounds you is rattling by accelerated.  But you’re in a slo mo zombied coma.

You know when things bad. The world’s worst ITK, Jasper has remerged from another sojourn in Broadmoor. I don’t mind people getting things wrong, we all get things wrong, but Jasper’s pronouncements are either the diametric opposite of what will happen or stuff that appeared in this morning’s paper.

Jasper Watch is now on amber.

So hopefully the news that we have begun negotiating for Nilmar will keep you going until well, at least teatime. The word comes from @Football_Agent9 who is also saying that Diarra is done, certainly either a loan, perhaps permanent. Which explains our Real Madrid discussions.

Oh Christ, what have I done? Cue an avalanche of ‘ITKs’ revealing that Nilmar discussions, ‘looking good,’ ‘player wants to come,’ and ‘VillaReal arguing over add-ons’ and a conveyor belt of assorted attention seeking.

Warping back to this time last year, according to the ITK’s, we’d have Joe Cole, Glenn Johnson and David James as ‘bolted on’ ‘sure fire’ ‘certainties’. Now, I’m not suggesting that they were actually wrong, however, I am suggesting that Levy has the ability to ‘Just say no’ when asked stupid questions!

    [Update 325] Akqayid re: Bentley
    Who: Akqayid
    Where: SC
    When: 03/08

    Quote:
Bentley has been offered to a couple of clubs. Thats all so far

    ….

NO SH1T! this guy is really coming out of left field with this – who’d thunk we might get rid of David “I’ve forgotten to practice the basics and I don’t have the hamstrings for running” Bentley?

all i hear is rustling in the bushes – no ones emerged as of yet

id rather not have Barton in our shirt,id be honestly torn between swopping lennon for ade – as we saw in italy sometimes he can really pull it out the bag

but would them few times be worth keeping against a striker of real quality (since he left the gooners u can admire his class, while he was there he was shit :D )

our current strikers? why arnt we playing PSB? hes vocal(a la Barton as people keep saying we need, tho tbf he hasnt punched anyone on our team to make his point) skillful and scores when given a run as i suspect pav would considering he seems to score n be dropped

biggest problem i can see is u cant keep swopping half the team every bastard game, injuries aside we shud have a first 11 n play em – for 30 40 50k+ a week the fukkers shud run like a duracell bunny – u cant keep 4 strikers happy especially when we keep playing with 1

love my club but its turning me grey

    bring back Keith Burkinshaw!!!

He has punched Davids in the past, and is as disruptive off the field as he useless on it. Also Bentley filling in for (the best part of three months) Lennon actually got us into the CL. Modric was absent for 4 months, we had no VDV, Keane was with Celtic, so where’s the difference? it was the fringe players like Kranjaer and Jenas filling in that kept it going, and of course the form of Bale. Last season we looked imbalanced and laboured, but only against the bottom sides ( tactics and attitude) and our strikers looked poor (injuries and tactics), as was evident by the lack of goals to chances ratio. We’re not a bad side by any means, but the constant bitching about these ‘fringe’ players is all too easy. Unless they’re replaced with better quality, what’s the point of moving them on? A good mechanic can tinker and get the best of out of an engine, qwik-fit, will just whip out the old one and replace it for a huge sum of money!

      • Ed says:

JJ has lost his way and we have better, also a new challenge may reignite his fire,Kranjcar would start for me (in place of who is the problem ofc)but bale could return to LB and still make his marauding runs and he could then play

lennon coudnt be replaced by bentley

if Keane hadnt been on loan we could have used him and maybe got 4th or better (imo ofc) tho i heartily admit i didnt know he had punched davids – surely that act alone shows he has some balls and hes far from useless – what he does off the pitch i have little to no knowledge of as i dont tweet fb or stalk

and yes u are spot on,against the bottom sides we looked like we didnt have a clue at times

i dont believe ive bitched about our squad members

the reserve lge and the lge cup is the place to let the “fringe” players show there worth and if they are showing well then they need to make the step up – we cant let them all out on loan, tied in to watertight 1 season deals, loan them for exp or games by all means but we should be able to recall any of them at any time
were nowhere near a bad side and yes if we cant replace with better why replace

but we have players who arnt getting a look in – and thus they wanna go elsewhere

why dont we have a reserve side? – ive looked and we dont have one listed on our main site and were not listed on the official prem reserve site either – thats where the squad players shud be and where the underperformers can gain match fitness, confidence and some of there hunger to play again

We have a fair few quality players who would gain immensely from this, all ofc imo

        • Essexian76 says:

Sorry, but Bale at left back, you jest surely?. So we exchange the only potential WC mid-left/winger for a less than mediocre LB,does that make sense? All I’m stating is the patently obvious really. JJ,JD,Hutton, Ctouch, Keane, Bentley )Oh, my finger hurt’s) Are all crap according to many, yet we’ve finished 4-5th, (should’ve done better by beating poor opposition in both campaigns. Replace them by all means, but not for the sheer sake of it. Change the coaches perhaps, which IMO is the better, cheaper and more pragmatic option anyway.
