Beloved In Christ,

Karren Brady. There’s a clue in the name pointing to an inherent neediness that made her parents opt to shoehorn in an unnecessary, extra ‘r’ in there. Presumably to pave the way for their little girl being extra special, a standout Karren amongst all then other also-Karens.

MORE stories today that the delay in confirming West Ham’s move to the Olympic Stadium threatens to thwart the nation’s bid to host the world athletics champions there in 2017.

No. Questions marks over the Olympic Games arose from civil disorder on the streets of the capital city and live images of the assaults, lootings and vandalism being beamed across the globe.

To suggest THFC hiring corporate detectives to go through dustbins to reveal questionable business relationships in a £500m deal probably didn’t have the same impact.

Spurs have taken their baton home on this. And I don’t like the way they are behaving. When a club reportedly stoops to employ private detectives to dig dirt on another, they’re discrediting the game and themselves.

Ha. I don’t like the way you where Miss Piggy wigs, but the way you behave has no bearing on facts.

Here’s a fact for you Karren. You said repeatedly during the bidding process for the OS that there was a waiting list for WHUFC season tickets. The figure seemed to vary dependent upon which day you were asked. But 15,000 was mooted at one point.

So why are you still advertising season tickets as being for sale, if there is even a waiting list of one single person?

I’ve told police my phone has either been hacked or private records acquired in what I’m sure will be a frustrated attempt to blacken my name and West Ham’s.

I’ve told Father Christmas I want a swanky new touch screen PC for Christmas. Oh sorry, where were we? This I hope is investigated thoroughly. And should it transpire that it cannot be proved your phone was hacked, you apologise in your column.

Time will tell whether Keane merits legendary status.

He contributed a great deal to the fortunes of the club. Not just in scoring 100 plus goals, but in partnering Berbatov, etc., not just in leading in the dressing room, but in captaining on the field on many occasions (‘Arry knew what he was doing when he gave him the arm band). Under Jol especially he was influential in creating a new confidence and team solidity without which we would not have achieved our recent successes.

We should not begrudge him the move to the scousers. Think about it dispassionately. An Irishman, he would be likely to have had a boyhood attachment to Liverpool, the gateway to a better world for so many of his people. Plus the club also has a distinguished history and one can understand what it might have meant to him to know that he was wanted there, that they were prepared to pay 20 millions for him. Then as an athlete he would have had to consider the financial reward; it’s a short life and there is an out of the game future to be planned for. That being said, I regret that he left (and the way he went about it), as I am sure he came to do as well, for the outcome has the elements of tragedy.

    I wish him well.

What a goal by Aguerro!!! Wish we bought him in January. Right now, Hulk and Leandro are the only realistic signings that will give me some hope for this season…Please Mr LEVY…I’m on my knees begging you for these 2…

I’ve seen reports that Luka will miss the match with Hearts as he picked up a knock. Maybe, but perhaps he is being held out to not cup tie him for the CL and the move to the Chavs is still possible.

(I think playing EL games would cup tie him for CL games until re-registering in January but please correct me if that’s wrong).

    • Lodvic says:

The domestic league and European competition registrations are completely separate and independent of each other. He could play for us in the league and still be ok to play in the Champions league for them.

That said I would like to know if you could register a player NOT in your domestic 25 man squad in your European squad?

The Modic injury is a little fishy, I think if you play in the Europa league you can’t play in the Champions league, although I stand to be corrected….may have to sit down after a while, getting old.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. I know the league and the CL are different. My question is whether playing in the Europa League would keep Luka from playing CL games for the Chavs. I think that is correct, but am not sure.

If he is genuinely crocked it continues our exasperating luck with injuries of late. Last season spurs were rarely not top-of- the-crocks on physioroom.com and now we’ll limp and hobble into a fresh season with nearly half our first team out. Gallas calf strain, King recovering from latest op, Sandro broken and did I hear VdV is struggling? Also pienarr groin and Jenas thigh. We haven’t kicked a ball yet! F¥<€ our luck!

The threads do get long on here when HH hasnt posted for a while.

Perhaps he’s on the way back from dropping PSB off in L.A.?

“Spinning draws out the short fibres from the mass of cotton and twists them together into a long, apparently continuous thread”. [Snatched from the web]

That’s what HH is doing. He’s a dab hand at attracting the meaningful bits submitted by the Spurs’ faithful (in contrast to the incohate mass which is football humankind) and making them appear relevant. Which, oft times they are…

    • emspurs says:

He is PSB. All the criticism was a clever ruse to deflect attention. :ninja:
