We’ve Signed A MIdfielder But …They Want First Dibs On Bale

Good afternoon pop pickers,

Some interesting information has bubbled its way to the surface,  like a fart in bathtub it catches your eye but hardly enhances your life.

Real Madrid are to blame. The Spanish rotters or Los Blancos as they prefer to be called are leading our fearless crack squad of transfer negotiators a merry dance. Benzema on loan came the cry in the last window but a deal went sour after refining, refining and the timing of Higuain’s injury and so Benzema stuck with the devil he knew.

This time around Benzema is still ludicrously a potential target despite he very recent public pledge to the Real cause. Adebayor I’m told would be happy to play for us, but he’s equally happy to sign on permanently with Jose. Reality appears to have sunk in at long last and he knows that whatever shirt he’s in next season the owners of the badge won’t be paying him what he’s been getting.

The twist in the tale is that Real have sought a ‘first refusal’ from us for the boy Bale. This in relation to the season following this one. If this were to be granted then the transfers of Adebayor or Benzema –  or theoretically both – could be made that much easier to facilitate.

As if a sign of goodwill, the Diarra deal was made painless. A sign of how easy business can be when the seller is guaranteed to be looked after in the future.

Make of this what you will, passed on in good faith by all means do strongle the messenger if it makes you feel better.

There is a ‘fakinel’ shirt up on the ShotDead website and I noticed this morning that orders started flying in yesterday. I deliberately haven’t put it up on here as to me it isn’t spelled correctly and has a ‘c’ in. This will be rectified but in the interim if people want it without the ‘c’ they need to let me or Shot Dead know!

what a difference a bale makes!

Modric to Bale to Crouch. Score!

This Crouch bloke. Is he the world class striker we’ve signed?

Mysterious stranger – Pav had countless awful touches, failed to hold the ball up when he had the opportunity and his movement was awful.

Granted he didn’t have much service, but neither did Llorente and everything he did was tidy and resulted in possession being retained. That’s all we need when chances aren’t being created.

Yeah, like the pass behind him when he was pealing off to the left and it hit his heel. I’m not saying he played his best game here, am I?

Anyway, so you know for the future. There’s a reply button. underneath the post I made. Like the one I used

I agree with you about pav MS, but you can be a real dick sometimes on the technicalities.

Nice of you to say so, I liked to think it was a bit of banter, but without the personal touch you brought :-p

If people think all we have to do is swap Pav in the 1st half line up with someone else then let them. The majority of our side in the first half played shit, in a shit shape.

Call it a Redknapp blueprint if you like. After all, we saw it often enough last season with his first choices out there.

Could have been Drogba up there, I sincerely doubt the 5 men in our midfield would have suddenly found themselves on the same wavelength as the lone striker, or introduced a level of pass accuracy to the game.

      • Hertspur says:

And I was saying he offered zero in terms of a threat against a decent opposition as usual.

Thanks for the advice, that’s the 1st productive post of yours today.

          Put the gun down. :finn:

Pav is 87 times better than Crouch or Defoe which is a scientific fact I happen to bow to.
Modric & Bale = even 3MP or Defoe can make the life of cows that are allergic to banjos a total misery.

      • Hertspur says:

I think it goes without saying that most fans would have wanted Jenas and the Hudd dragged too. (Hudd disin’t look anywhere near match fit to me which is a worry)

I appreciate that we all have differing opinions but I just believe that Pav is only effective against the lesser teams. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a 3MP fan, but he does give us an extra dimension (a target to hit in the latter stages of games when we’re behind or level) – he needs to keep it simple though -none of that ball juggling shite that he just demonstrated.

I’d keep Defoe – just teach him the offside rule and we’re away!

We need 4 strikers so get in one world class forward and I’ll happily drive PSB to whoever will have him.

  • Spurstacus says:

What new strikers? Who needs em?
