Up The Orient!

Good afternoon.

First item of business is a whopping congrats to Citizen Astromesmo. Not only is he a delightful chap in his own right, but he is now the quite rightly the wonderfully proud father of a swanky new  ‘junior client number’ and we ought all raise a cyber glass to not only him but those he calls his own  :winke:

My newest most favouritist figure in football, Barry Hearn has formally thrown his Chairman’s titfer into the old OPLC ring. I sincerely hopes he gets the outcome he seeks.

Not just granted the OS itself which would be sweet for Orient of course, but being treated fairly in accordance with the numerous laws of the land. So far, the installation of another football club that would without doubt threaten the very existence of Leyton Orient has been summarily ignored. The word ‘disgrace’ is bandied about so frequently in football we’ve almost become immune to it. The treatment of Orient has been less than shoddy.

So eager have been the narcissists and the pornographers to advance themselves fair play and justice have been ridden roughshod.  Here’s the boy Barry:

“We are asking for a 25,000-seat stadium and we want to see if we can get around the athletics track. It has to stay, we know that. But can we build up, if not down, and see if it’s possible to get it covered while we play?

“If it isn’t possible, it isn’t – and we wouldn’t move in with a running track between the pitch and the crowd.

“We have submitted an application for permission to move to the Football League, and that permission is something that West Ham don’t yet have.

“It was the Premier League who gave them the green light to move in their original plan, but they are no longer members of the Premier League.

“The rules are that the Football League would not sanction a club moving closer to another club if it affects the business of that other club, and there’s no doubt that West Ham moving there would affect us.

“West Ham can’t just assume that they will be in the Premier League by then. How, therefore, can the Olympic Park Legacy Company, whose job it is to decide who takes over the stadium, allow West Ham to remain in the bidding process? We want them thrown out because they don’t have permission from the relevant authority – the Football League.”

brilliant hope the O,s get the stadium without the running track go on the barry hearns!
on another note big up the new astro x

  • eastanglianspur says:

OH NO! Trout Chops has won manager of the month!!! 8O

  • essexian76 says:

I just don’t get this at all. We’ve pulled out, no problem with that but our ‘sweetener’ or bung to use Lord Barry of Leyton’s word is a paltry 17m.yet our expenditure for the planning, design etc is in excess of 80m. Is someone telling me that ENIC shareholders and board members together with those of THFCPLC are really accepting a loss of 63m?
17m represents nothing in comparison, especially when the OPLC knew from the outset of both our intentions and it transpires the result (12-0 my arse), no something’s definitely not right here

    • eastanglianspur says:

Never mind, whatever happens, you’ll still think the sun shines out of Levy’s arse, or are you actually beginning to see he’s only human (being polite here) after all?

      • TMWNN says:

He’s been completely mugged off over this, and set the NDP back a year.

        • essexian76 says:

We’ll see, but I doubt it very much, still keeps you happy for now, if you’ve ever actually been happy that is?

        • essexian76 says:

‘He’s’???? are you honestly that stupid! do you really think that Levy say’s “Righto, that’s my plan, off we go”, how bloody idiotic and niave can you be–hang on a mo, it’s you, silly me, eh?

        • eastanglianspur says:

I’m happy most the time, but I do get unhappy when I see our team under performing. Which is sometimes their fault, (not turning up to play – not keeping the ball – hoofing it up and giving the ball to the other side) other times it’s Trout Chops fault (often tactically useless) and indirectly it can sometimes be Levy’s fault (seldom preparing the club for a new season on time etc etc). All I ever do is point out the areas where it should be straight forward for these so called experts to improve things.

        • essexian76 says:

No, you’re just an idiot who being proved wrong week in and week out, even a broken watch is right more often than you, yet you persist in this stupidity, constant whining, when every fact thrown at you makes your perspective and argument not just weak but non-existent, when confronted with the facts, you retaliate by saying “I’m a bigot”, oh, so that’s fine your a bigot, I accept that-now fuck off and stop piggy backing on others and perhaps post something intelligible yourself!

        • TMWNN says:

essexian76, why don’t you just relax a little bit? No need to take every little thing so seriously.

        • Hartley says:

Daniel Levy is quite possibly the best chairman this club has had in 129 years……the man with the plan, in Levy I trust!
He has made mistakes but he definitely learns from them, he is ambitious, shrewd, financially brilliant and suffers no fools and will leave us in a far better position than the one he found us in……

        • TMWNN says:

It’s not down to Levy though, apparently.

        • eastanglianspur says:

          @Numpty76

“No, you’re just an idiot who being proved wrong week in and week out.”

I haven’t noticed you prove anything, all I see from you is delusional fantasies about Redknapp and Levy.

I have posted a comment above which you have ignored and you have ignored it precisely because you have no fucking answers. People who occupy netherworlds seldom have any answers because reality does not fit in with their distorted moronic delusional paradigm.

It’s either that or you’re just thick as two short planks. 8O

      • essexian76 says:

Don’t you have basket weaving to attend to before lights out, I was rather expecting a sensible answer, but then up you pop,and you no doubt expect to to take you seriously?, “Pay them a grand a week” still resonates-you cretin

        • eastanglianspur says:

Hey moron, if they don’t perform that’s all they’re worth and that’s the real world and the real world is not where you live. :winke:

        • essexian76 says:

How about ‘paying them a grand a week’ then that’ll work, you idiot!

        • eastanglianspur says:

The days are coming when they’ll grab at a grand a week, but in the meantime the point I’m making which your pea sized brain fails to comprehend is that when they don’t perform – which is very often the case that is all they are worth.

What you haven’t grasped either is that when huge salaries are paid then only the best is acceptable – failure is not an option once you’re on top money. Get back to amateur or semi-amateur status or as I said £1,000.00 per week and then they will have grounds to make excuses.

Having said that all the while there are thicko supporters like you around happy with mediocrity they will continue to take the piss and take your and my money via TV advertising. :-|

      • essexian76 says:

Why don’t you change the bloody record then? Even this posts about the OS yet you and the idiot bang on about Levy and Redknapp, as you do at every opportunity.I’ve no problem as well you know in intelligent debate, but I’m getting really tired of reading the same horse shit and having to defend the fact that this club hasn’t been in such good shape for a bloody long time both on and off the field, yet, you’d think we were flogging fucking chickens in India as a sideline. The realisation of what we’ve got and where we are still hasn’t clicked with you two obviously, and that I find mind-numbingly stupid on your behalf. And what alternatives do you ever offer-fuck all, fuck all but consistent moaning and bitching, Hey try the SUPPORTING malarky for once! that’ll be refreshingly different

        • Hartley says:

C’mon fellas FFS…..you’ve all got at least two things in common, one more won’t hurt……Peace, is the word…. ;-)

Deep breath, stop winding each other up and focus on the mighty Spurs beating the Russians on Thursday…..BIOYCC

        • eastanglianspur says:

I agree Hartley and if he shuts the fuck up with all his “everything is OK” crap when I make a comment about what I see is the reality then we’ll have peace. Until then I’ll rebut all his delusional rubbish as I see fit.

      • TMWNN says:

I’ve no idea why some people bother reading the blog, or stick to the official site if criticism upsets them so much.

        • TMWNN says:

          *don’t stick

        • eastanglianspur says:

Because they’re happy with mid table TMWNN or they’re happy with one year in CL football and agree with Trout Chops that last season was a great season.

Strange how Gallas didn’t agree with the Trout Chop’s spin. Perhaps HH should ask him to make a comment or three here.

        • Phil McAvity says:

Mid table, is there only 12 teams in the PL now then?

        • essexian76 says:

But there’s the point you don’t offer anything but bile, and not only bile but childish ill thought out and thoughtless bile, Idiot one (EAS),Knows fuck all about fuck all and even less about football, and idiot two, you just moan, although with a little more thought, but how you can think you offer anything remotely useful to an argument is beyond me? And what exactly do you get out of watching Spurs as its obviously not a pleasure is it? I mean there was a great game on Sunday, but you’d have thought we’d lost, but did we or have we in the past 5 games?, no ,and lastly are we ot are we not in the best place this club has been for a very long time or are we not?

        • Hartley says:

          I give up….. :shocked2:

        • essexian76 says:

Well that’s a great answer isn’t it? If anyone challenges your view you simply resort to sulking that’s it not fair and they should go elsewhere if they don’t like your view?, Ah,dear dear, try growing up and growing a brain and begin by putting a little reasoning behind you antipathy for starters.

        • Hartley says:

Anyone watch the chase on Monday? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyItREx0VbQ

      • jim says:

No, I really think the sun shines out of his arse! Honestly mate you really should try to give credit when its due. Two questions i’d like to know your thoughts on.
        1) When was the last time you saw a Spurs squad as good as this?
        2) When was the last time you saw Daniel Levy’s business plan?

    • jim says:

No evidence to back it up at mo. but i’m sure Levy has something up his sleeve mate. Other wise we’ve gained nothing. One things for sure with our chairman, he doesn’t let the grass grow under his feet.

      • essexian76 says:

That was my point, as the board come to a collective decision and to accept a loss of that magnitude simply doesn’t make business sense firstly nor does it seem to be a ‘Levy’ result? like you said and I implied, something’s afoot Watson.

        • jim says:

Don’t want to start getting our dear friends angry, but the only thing i can reasonably think of is another site possibly.Because he hasn’t agreed to fat Boris’s offer. Cant imagine where though.

        • essexian76 says:

Yep, that’s my thoughts entirely, I cannot see how quiet it’s been, and perhaps with Barry Hearn’s direct challenge, it could also be a case of sitting back and allowing Lord Hearn to fire the shots while give him the bullets?

  • Astromesmo says:

    Dear all

Thanks for the ‘big up’ HH and thanks to all of your for your messages. Really appreciated and fair bought a tear to this old lillywhite’s eye.

You might find some strange posting times from me for a while and I might be more on the chat-zone with SSG & MelcYid for a while but I’ll be battling through the baggy eyes and wet nappies to keep spouting my gibberish.

I have to also wholeheartedly agree in the nomination of B. Hearn (Esq) as favourite newest person. I love the way he’s getting at this with the rule book behind him like a Roman Legion. More power to him and more power to the land of Leytonstonia. Any vote that gives him due reward for his efforts gets my vote.

Last shout to HR for manager of the month. Maybe not the most challenging month he’ll ever face (It only included wins against Liverpool and L’Arse) and maybe not a gong you can put on the team honours board, but something to show that people out there acknowledge the work that’s being done at WHL.

As I watched snippets of Citeh stumbling and shambling to a dodgy win tonight, with the crowd pelting the pitch with rubbish, it made me realise just how proud I was at the way we played in the CL and the impact we had on that competition. For one glorious season the words ‘Spurs’ and ‘breath of fresh air’ were inexorably linked. Whether it was down to HR or the players we’ll argue about until Davspurs works out where caps lock is, but it happened nonetheless… And that’s the important part. It’s stuff like that that makes me proud to be Spurs and proud to show my lovely new girl the gates to WHL and let her choose the hallowed path.

      Good man yourself.

Jump in Mes; I’m 8 hours behind the debate most days.

And congrats on the nipper. Have you started the indoctrination process? Never too early.

        • UnkleKev says:

No indoctrination is required. There is but one true path. Have faith and she shall find it. And congrats from me too, Astro.

    • MysteriousStranger says:

      Congrats Astro.

Though I’m too sure about your “let her choose” sentiment. That’s just gambling for the sake of it. At the very least, I suggest you begin the indoctrination process ASAP :-D

      • Astromesmo says:

It must be said, she is currently sporting the black away kit baby-grow.

        • jim says:

Keep up the good work mate. Its our job to populate the world with young, impetuous Yids and Yidettes. By the way Farleys Rusks are yummy.

        • spurious supporter says:

I’m sure she can feel the force and that there’s no chance of her going over to the dark side.

I wish you all the warmest, heartiest congratulations.

    • Phil McAvity says:

Congrats Astro, I’ve been there before so I feel your pain!! But it has to be said that it’s all worth it in the end. Show her the gates mate and she’ll walk right through, it is meant to be.

    • Sid Trotter says:

Many congrats Astromesmo – isn’t it wonderful, hope all doing fine – I shall have a sausage rooll tonight to celebrate

    • Dorset Spur says:

      Congrats from me too.

    • Deano says:

Congratulations. Best feeling in the world.
