Hazard To Sign For Spurs. Or Barca. Or Real Madrid. Or Someone. Probably.

I don’t know what you’d call this …an exercise in gun jumping or simply endemic of a football transfer rumour market that flat-lined a fortnight ago… but the call I suggest you resist making is to your lover asking for a Tottenham shirt with Hazard on the back for a Valentine’s gift.

Look, the good news is he was asked about us and he didn’t have to suppress giggles. My French is on a par with my English, but even I got that he was flattering about us. Acknowledged we had a great win on Saturday before an enthusiastic crowd, we’ve a decent squad that sort of thing…we’re on the up and up .

“Maybe it will be Tottenham. This is a big English club. I said I will go to England and there are very good players.

I have not signed anything yet. It will happen soon…

Spain is perhaps more my style of play but it must be either Barcelona or Real Madrid. It is therefore limited.”

There is a gulf here between this faint praise and him replying, ‘naturalmente’ when the Burger Man in Paxton Road yells at him, ‘You want onions, Colonel?’

The other issue is of course is that the boy ain’t going nowhere for free. Arsenal were linked with him on an almost weekly basis for the whole of last summer and as you can imagine, the rumoured buy out clause of €30m did nothing to speed up that deal.

My suspicion is that he’s simply engineering a move after neither Cheatski or the lot from Woolwich anything much more than make equiries..

He’s undoubtedly perceived at least as a top, top player™.  So whilst it’s not a deal anywhere near as is being suggested/hinted at by some, it does rather reflect we’re almost a big deal these days.

Nothing from the ‘Harry Out’ Brigade lately?!?!?! Can’t think why? Apologies for going off thread, but i do like to embarrass them once in a while. COYS!!! :o))

Ade would be nuts to leave us. Where would he go? No one will pay the big money he is on now so he will just have to take the pay cut. He might not like it but those are the facts. FFS how much money do these guys want!! I think he’ll be sensible a deal will be reached with us.

    • Razspur says:

He could of course slot into the Man City attack, going back as a much better player and remaining on the big bucks, don`t you think they`d love to have him back now ! At least we can`t meet City until the last 8, dread to think what he could do to us.

      • Steveo1987 says:

I don’t think he would to go back.

Money talks. Where are they gonna get such astronomical wages ? Looks like Tevez is crawling back today.

He won’t go back while Mancini is still there…

…so expect him to be spearheading their attack once more come August.

To be honest it’s not just down to him and us. City hold his contract and they dropped a major goolie by loaning him to us this season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they either didn’t play ball with us over a transfer or priced him out of a move to us.

On the upside- a miserable discontent and disruptive player is good news for us, if he’s forced to go back-even better if we get in a decent forward or two?

    Is he a Duke?

I’d be happy to disclose via H if he wanted to email me. I don’t know the guy personally and he refuses to post in the ITK column, but will post in the general transfer rumours. Probably to do with not having to reveal his sources to the moderators.

He usually really good at responding to direct questions but as his info has proved more and more accurate over time he gets inundated for updates, so I wouldn’t want to scare him off!

Like I said, H can email me and do a bit of giggery pokery if he wants. He may even know who I’m on about if he goes on there

    • Razspur says:

Is that one of the ITK`s who guaranteed Hughes was our next manager. If they`ve got something to say they should say it, put up or shut up. Most of the prattle is gleaned from Twitter/Facebook and just regurgitated on News Now with a slightly different spin on it.

      • King Yid says:

Don’t think it was. I’m usually skeptical re any ITK info, although the F5 key has taken a pounding in the past. He called the Saha and Nelson transfers long before they appeared on newsnow. It’s all on the threads on SC so anyone can check out the timing of his comments.

I can empathise with him re not posting on the ITK thread. As far as I understand, ITK comments require some form of substantiation to the moderators, usually in the form of naming their source. He still posts his info but does so on the general rumour threads rather than on the ITK specific thread so he doesn’t have to name his source.

To be honest based on his form last TW, the comments he’s made regarding Hazard and the interview surfacing yesterday, I’m excited. I hope it comes off, and if it does it will add further credence to the guy who called it in Jan. if it doesn’t come off, c’est la vie; but I don’t think ITKs should be crucified when their info doesn’t work out. Personally, I’d rather have the ITK knowing half is bullshit and one third won’t come to fruition, than not have any at all and spend my time wishing I was Charlotte Jackson’s Sky Sports chair.

        • Razspur says:

That`s a bit kinky KY, there`s so much utter crap constantly doing the rounds you must forgive my schepticism, of course i have been wrong in the past, if you trust the info and source then i`m almost sold on it. Interesting times at the Lane.

  • Razspur says:

Hazard is a very good young player but it`s the French league, big step up to the Premier Lge. He started last season very poorly, was accused of being lazy in training at Lille and on Int duty. He stands out in a poor team and League. Best to go for an established out and out striker, we have enough midfielders.

    • Essexian76 says:

IF, the story had legs which I doubt at 35m it would mean either Bale or Modric would be sold to finance the deal and to accommodate him, as we’ve plenty of similar players. Also who’s to say what will happen in July as we’ve still a long way to go this season in terms of playing and possible/probable managerial changes. Lastly the story originated from the Daily Mail..????
