Levy Needs To Fire Arry TONIGHT

Hello ladies.

Dirty headline. But hear me out.

For the main we played very well. Extremely well. But I’m unconvinced about the prospects of a team who’s manager is all too frequently passing comment in the national press about who he would include in ‘an’ England team he obviously wants and needs to manage.

Am I a cancer among THFC supporters? No. Look at my Tweets this afternoon. I always wish us well. In fact I’m as bonafide deluded as anyone.

There’s something up and I try not to hide behind the questionable decisions of officials. Atkinson got little wrong today. Premiership footballers are temperamental beasts and they need to know who is in charge and where everyone’s heart lies.

The sooner the squad knows who is in for the long term the better. Arry has been wonderful. No two ways about it. But the jig is up. They know he’s off. We know he’s off. So let’s lose the fake goodwill/banter/speculation and focus upon business. This is football club, not a drop in centre for ‘torn’ upwardly mobile millionaires.

I do not blame Arry for the final score this afternoon. I’m no a child in these matters. But I do know you only ever build on solid ground and we’ve a current manager who jumped up and down for every goal against Newcastle and has been in a coma ever since.

NEWSFLASH: We’ll out-selfish you every day of the week, Mr Redschnapps. We’re Tottenham. You’re just passing through my old son.

The day Capello resigned I said the ‘Arry for England speculation would derail our season. Not bragging, just sayin’.
Our last 8 games are crucial having already beaten 7 of them and drawn with Wolves. 24pts is there for the taking if they can keep their minds focussed.
    COYS!

Got to look at this from near earth orbit. We have to accept getting done twice by Manure and sharing the spoils with Arse if it means finishing top 4. I agree the Guvnors had his head turned and it’s not helping at the moment but we’ve got no choice but to see it through until the end of the season. Getting rid of the manager now is not going to put us on a winning streak, its going to properly derail us and guarantee us 5th or worse.

If we finish top 4, Redknapp goes and we’re in the CL. Our options for a new manager at that point are as good as they’d ever be, plus we keep the bulk of the squad together. We keep building, we keep improving. We’re still new to this level. We’re not established CL regulars. We need to be, we need 10 years of CL.

We finish outside the top 4 and its back to the nineties in a hand basket.

I will spit bullets if Arse finish above us, for the sheer stick I’ll get. But if its 4th, then I’ll say thankyou Sir Harold and goodbye and I’ll be chuffed.

We played well and lost to Man U. We always lose to Man U. Last 25 matches, lost 19, drew 6. Were they all down to HR ?
I am not his greatest fan but I think we need to be a little realistic.
Still in third place and a great chance of making the FA cup semi final.
No chance Levy will get rid of HR before the season’s end and everything to play for.
Just a shame the scum stole 3 points at Liverpool yesterday.

Are you making some excuse about us having to lose to Manu?? you probably give you’re mate a pat on the back after he gives you’re Missus a belly full

Did you read my post ? If so, where is there one excuse ? Simply pointing out we generally always lose to Man U, no matter who our manager is or whether he is being touted for another job.
Try sticking to the subject instead of making cheap comments and making yourself look stupid in the process.

Yep, let’s all get carried away as per. We’ve lost to Utd twice,City twice and the Goons..total deficit on last season..3 points! Are we up on last season…yep, are we better placed?, yep again..can we blow it…who knows, but there’s an FA cup match on Weds and possibly the quarter final to look forward to as well, OK we’ve blown any chance of the league, but who thought in August that come March we’d even be in the top half, let alone 3rd placed!

Just one response for your headline tag, H-H:

    HUUUUUUUUUURRRRAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! (bout f*ckin’ time)

What a complete load of tosh.

Why on earth would the team just start playing shit because Harry may be will be the England manager in Summer?? It’s a convenient excuse for a couple of poor results but on closer inspection it really makes no sense.

Besides which, the team played well today. Better than the opposition. We looked up for it. Until it came to a corner and a quick throw in. Did Walker forget to track Rooney because for a second there he was suddenly uncertain about Harry’s future? Did Modric fall asleep on the throw in because he was taking a second to mull over the England captaincy dilemma? What nonsense!!

Last week was a complete travesty, this week was our business as usual 3 point transaction with Utd. We played well, deserved to draw at worst, but lost. No revelation there, no England manager crisis, it happens every year.

This is a blip, even Utd have had them this season. We’ve had a couple, the first two games and this one. Lose to Everton and it may be a ‘slump’ but I personally can’t see that happening on today’s evidence. The spirit was there to out-muscle Utd and boss the midfield for most of the game. The result was fucking awful and I’m in as foul a mood about it as anyone else but let’s be realistic / rational.

Furthermore what possible use would firing Redknapp / letting him leave now be? Getting Steve Bruce / Mick McCarthy / AVB or whoever else is available right now to take over in the middle of the season WOULD disrupt the team for sure. The players knowing that Harry is off in Summer – just as they have known all season anyway (he was always taking over from Capello regardless) shouldn’t make a blind bit of difference.
