If you thought that Sunday was going to aggravate your heart condition, be warned that it’s far more likely to give you a migraine.

This appears to have originated on Spurs Odious, but whoever took the time out to go through it all deserves a medal.

  • Manchester City, Manchester United and the 3rd placed team in the Premier League will enter the Champions League in the group stage* next season.
  • The 5th placed team in the Premier League will enter the Europa League in the play-off round next season.
  •  Liverpool will enter the Europa League in the 3rd qualifying round next season.

  • The 4th placed team in the Premier League will enter the Champions League in the play-off round next season.

  • Chelsea will enter the Champions’ League in the group stage next season.
  • The 4th placed team in the Premier League will take Chelsea’s FA Cup European qualifying spot and will enter the Europa League next season.
However it’s not yet clear whether they will take the same spot in UEFA’s Access List and start in the Group Stage or whether this honour will pass to the domestic Cup winner of another country and whether the 4th placed team have to start in the play-off round instead. UEFA will confirm this were this scenario to happen.
  • The 3rd placed team in the Premier League will enter the Champions League in the group stage* next season.

* It is not yet fully established whether 3rd place will secure a group stage seeding or have to play a qualifying round, should Chelsea win the Champions League.

It better be 3rd as Dental Wren Yes-Please from Sickbay has promised to put on the navy blue webbing and renounce her Le-Arse sins on the dentists chair.

If 5th I will take the rest of the year off!

Let’s just win. If it turns out that we only end up 4th we should remind ourselves that we threw away a two goal lead against the team that pipped us. On current form we would not get through the qualifying round anyway.

Hmm… Daily Express, have they caught up with Roger Banister’s 4 minute mile yet, or the Nazis annexation of Austria? Maybe they think John Terry is the Fuhrer.

  • TMWNN says:

So if we do come 3rd, we might have to play a qualifying round?

Let’s hope motor-mouth is gone by then if that does happen.

    • HR's fan. says:

Sooooo he gets us in the champions league and thats not good enough for you?

Thats about the best finish you could expect with our squad.

We are nowhere near Manu or citeh.

      yet.

      Yeah sack him. <—irony

      • Stupot says:

Our squad WAS a title challenging outfit until your arry got sidetracked. our squad managed to be three points of the top by February. H fkd our season.

      • TMWNN says:

We might not be any where near City in terms of the quality of squad, but united’s squad isn’t that great. Did you see them against City? The scum’s squad’s hardly amazing. Neither is the blue scum’s; even the bindippers managed to put 4 past them.

What I’m saying is, any half decent manager would have CL football tied up already this season with the squad that Redknapp has mismanaged.

        • Phil McAvity says:

          Not this again!!

Yeah ‘Arry is not even half decent, that’s why we in are position to get Champions League football in two out of three seasons, with the one in the middle being a fifth place.

That’s crap considering we get Champions League football all the time. Oh hang on a minute, wrong club.

Given HR is said to be a great motivator, I think we should be asking how he allowed the results/ performances to tail off so badly from mid- February.
He had the same squad of players throughout the season so how you can go from losing 1 game in 16 to winning about 3 in 16 takes some explaining.
Has he lost the dressing room ? If so, he is not going to be much use next season.

        • Devonshirespur says:

so your logic is City’s squad is superior to Spurs, but United are poor.

So we should be doing better than United because our squad is better, but not better than City…

YET City are level on points with Utd, separated by GD.

Did you ever stop and think that the institution that is Sir Alex and United are able to consistently perform above the sum of their parts because of the fact that Sir Alex has been there 25 years, is a genius and is able to maintain results regardless of the squad.

If United win at the weekend, they will have as many points (89) as they have achieved in the past 10 years, with one exception of 2008/09 when they gained 90 points.

You cannot judge Utd on the quality of their squad.

        • TMWNN says:

          Devonshirespur,

You’ve missed the point more than Redknapp has mismanaged the squad.

Red nose’s competence isn’t in question here. They have over performed massively. Ferguson being the main reason.

Rent-a-gob’s competence is in question. With the squad we have and the way the scum and blue scum have underperformed, 3rd place should’ve been out of sight weeks ago, but it isn’t. Redknapp being the main reason.

If you want to give more time to a tactically inept, 65 year old who’s not capable of learning from his mistakes, then fine.

I’m all for giving a manager time, but it’s time that Redknapp neither has nor deserves.

Let’s stop wasting time and get on with the inevitable; sack Redknapp now.

    • Devonshirespur says:

3rd…what kinda progress is that. There’s no trophy for 3rd….Redknapp out!!!!

Back on planet earth, if we get 3rd at the expense of the goons, who then have sweat on the NUFC result or the CL final then it will have been an almost perfect season.

  • harry hater says:
