Team Sheet & Tactics Board For Fulham

Gentlemen.

You can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

It’s that that part of the show again, folks. Where the entire campaign is suddenly hinging upon 90 minutes of football against a team so overwhelmingly underwhelming that any thoughts of victory are dogged with doubt. You know what they say… if’s and and’s were pots and pans there’d be no need for tinkers…

Here’s the board for Sunday.

Yes I know; for starters we’d all put money on Arry not playing 3 at the back. With Benny & Rose out it’s not only an obvious solution but one to springboard some creativity. So he won’t do it. If you think Billy at left back is riqué, wait til you see what discombobulation our tight lipped supremo unveils.

Scotty Parker appears to be knackered in some respect or another. Suffering from aggravated Advocat spritzer or something, I didn’t catch it all.

So I’m leading the charge with The Beast of N17 himself paired up with young Jake. Kyle and Jake need to make sure that Damian Duff is neutralised. Perhaps 3 at the back will nudge Mr Walker into making defending more of a priority.

Modric playing across the bit in the middle with Bale on the left, Azza Blud on the right. What could possibly be more refreshing? Perhaps only a perfectly chilled Babycham…

Ade & Rafa up front.

Defoe? After his childish want away cobblers I’d FedEX him his contract torn in half and a street map of Reading.

Tactics? Get on with it!

Prediction? Blimey. Boylesports Anytime Goalscorer has Ade at EVENS and I’m seeing that as decent. Fulham Half Time, Spurs Full Time is a, ‘pour me a large Absinthe’ 25/1. But my bet of the bunch is a 3-1 win to the Tottinghams at a nice round 10/1.

    ………Friedel

    ……sandro…livermore/parker
    ……….modric
    Vdv…..Adebayor….Lennon

Plenty of width creativety and there is the added strength and tenacity with sandro and 1 of livermore (my choice) or parker (harrys choice). Also when the full backs attack with alot of pace the midefielders can cover. I would also choose to play Vdv on the right and lennon on the left because i think Vdv playing on the left would unbalance the team and when he plays on the right he can come in and create using his favoured foot. Also, anytime i have seen lennon play on the left i have been impressed he also seems to get more shots away playing there. he will also have the option of bale overlapping all afternoon.

Even my tactics are better than redknapps.

I would also make friedeel play in goal facing the behind goal crowd so the sun shines off his baldy head and blinds their forwards.

It’s like reading a 12 year old’s “what I did over the summer holidays” essay…

Lennon and Bale BOTH playing on the left??? Please tell me you are, in fact, 12 and all will be forgiven… ;)

Well who would you play on the left? Cause we all know modric or Vdv cant play there and you cant just have bale doing it all on his own for the whole game. Hes too lazy to do that these days. And why not have lennon and bale playing on the left i dont see a problem. lennon will want to come inside bale will want to overlap so they wont get in each others way.

you’ve out twitched trout chops

Firstly, Modric can play left side: it’s not ideal, but he’s done it v successfully for us in the past…

Secondly, VDV can’t play on the right – it is a total disaster every time he does…

To be honest, HH’s lineup is pretty much spot on: the only thing I’d change is to shift Bale back 10 yards and Modric 10 yards to the left, because only 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 will do… ;)

I like this bizarre logic! Least they won’t be expecting it… :shifty:

I thought he was giving it all up for a minute……but he’s just building up his role for the Euros when he really should be thinking about our very important last match of the season………What a Cnut….

I’m a softie for BMJ, ever since he stared out Wenger as if he stole his last Werther’s Original. He won’t be doing us any favours though. And I agree with neutralising the Duff Man threat, he has an Etherington-ness about him…

IT will be nice for eunice to meet his dad again!

    Which defenders are actually available?

If we can get three CB’s playing I’d agree with 3 at the back with Bale and Kylie as wing backs. I’d go with experience Parker / Beast holding behind Mods and VDV behind Ade.

That gives us the option to bring Lennon on and change the shape if needed.

I just hope he uses the bench wisely if we’re not winning by say the 65th min. My biggest issue with Harry are his stupid 86th minute subs when something needed to be done 20 mins earlier…

    • Alspur says:

Please can we not go all “experimental” on the last day of the season… :(

Let’s just stick with a 4 at the back and may the best team win – which IS us…
