From Inside The Lane

Good afternoon.

I’ve just had a very interesting chat with a charming woman who appears very much in the loop in relation to our current situation.

First up Arry’s alleged post tin tack comments about an element of the club’s board being an ‘orrible lot appear to be well founded. If of course your definition of ‘orrible is that some simply did not care for every waking thought of the team’s manager to become a soundbite on talkSPORT.

If your definition of ‘orrible was feeling shortchanged that a man paid unrelentingly vast amounts of cold hard cash was so seemingly unfocused on the most basic elements of his job description (Hello set pieces, we mean you!).

Then came the (almost) incomprehensible insensitivity of Arry’s timing. Running to the press making a case for his continued employment in a company whilst the chairman of that company was coping with a death in the family… well… Classy.

The killer bow however was, I am told the involvement of Arry’s ‘representatives’ in the meeting. Basically, he spived himself out the building. What a shocker.

Who’s the new manager? I don’t know, but I’d hold back on the whole, ‘let’s lump on Moyes’ option at this stage.

Looks like it will be Moyes. He is a safe pair of hands and a skilled tactician. No more verbal diarrhoea in the press though… Hopefully we get business done soon so player signings can begin

    Come, come, spill the bean!

am really glad the majority of online spurs fans are so delighted our best manager since the 80’s has left. Although it does seem to majority of offline spurs fans are more realistic and are left more than a bit bemused.

Anyway, moving on, now you have achived what you want regarding harry, what now in your grand plan for world domination??
All the candidates have split the fans more than if harry had stayed. Deschamps and Blanc are laughably woeful and are just a bandwagon for the ignorant. martinez is great for the last 8 games in a season but a joke for the first 28 games. Moyes is teh best candidate and he deserves a chance, however alot of spurs fans dont want that either. So who ??

Whoever comes in still has to work within the boundaries of our wage structure, something that will not change unless we get bought out by a billionaire or get a new stadium. We do not have a massive transfer pot and modric will probably leave.
So over to you, our championship manager geniuses.

This is what you have wanted, so when it all goes t*ts up next time, instead of blaming whoever the manager is or blaming Levy, how about you blame yourselves?? Just a thought.

That’s because people who write Internet blogs are generally fucking idiots who know nothing. This site by the sound of a lot of the posts are written by morons who have no affinity to the club and quite possibly have never set foot inside WHL. Anyone who has supported Spurs for a number of years would appreciate the progress we have made in recent years, but they have got what they wanted and a life under Moyes or Martinez seems likely now. Gets me moist at the thought……..

    • LLL says:

Which are you then? An online or an offline Spurs fan? I’m a bit confused as I assume you were online at least when you wrote this. Do you have 2 lives – an online and offline persona? Is your opinion about Harry different in each?

      • Milk Boy says:

Offline with access to the Internet. I support my team in the flesh but at work on my computer I have this invention called the Internet which gives me the opportunity you read tripe written by divs like yourself.

        • Frontwheel 2 says:

Wow you’ve actually been to the Lane, double wow wee

        • LLL says:

I wasn’t actually asking you Milky, but since you took the opportunity to butt in, congratulations on being able to access and use the internet. There is a lot of stuff on the internet, and a lot of weird stuff for people into that kind of thing, but using it solely to seek out ‘tripe’ ‘written by divs’ is a pretty unique kink, isn’t it?

        • Stu Barney says:

Ahhh, you are a Sun reader then. Makes perfect sense.

        • Milk Boy says:

Frontwheel and LLL, do you touch each other or is it purely an online relationship?

        • LLL says:

Why, is that one of your other online fetishes?

    • Bruxie says:

You think we have that much influence?

The reason the off-line fans are so shocked is because they rely on the tabloid press – like The Sun.
HR writes half of it for his benefit.

    • MarseilleYid says:

Why do you say Deschamps and Blanc are laughably woeful?

    • Tony says:

sort of with you here mate, i realise that Harry wasnt the best manager in the world, but i cant think of anyone that will come in and be better that is currently available.. did i want harry to stay? probably not but i probably didnt want him to go either! (sound like my missus there). i would love a pep or a jose, but really its not going to happen is it.All i see happening is another run of the mill manager doing a simular job to Harry. Also i think this may have a bit of a negative affect on the squad now, so all in all we are probably going to be a little bit worse off!! was it worth it??????

    • Spurstacus says:

Jim, I’m sure its been said but…. Levy makes the decisions, and it was he that fired HR. No one else. Just him. He didn’t take the advice of fans, because he’s not a wally.

      • Stu Barney says:

Exactly Spurstacus…..for some to think that a blog can influence the chairman of THFC are severely deluded…..brain washed by Redknapps spin.

    • Stubarney says:

Jim, it’s life but not as we know it!

  • APW says:

Well he did a great job getting us out of the mire and finally achieving the top 4 and Champions League Football.

However the time to move on came a long time ago and when you have your own manager putting pressure on the Chairman through the media there is only one outcome from that.

He let the England job story run and run and contradicted himself over and over, day in and day out.

He only has himself to blame…..he should just take the money at SKY and talk all day long as thats his favourite thing to do.

I would prefer Martinez or AVB to Moyes or ffs….Benitez.

  • MarseilleYid says:

My vote is for Laurent Blanc.
